Good morning all,
This weeks shopping is done. The grand total is £74.41 so total spend ths month so far is £148.46. This week was higher than I expected but it did include £4.40 for two tins of vegan condensed milk for making dairy free malibu liqueur for a Christmas present. It also included a gift bag and some tissue paper which I thought about taking out but then decided to leave in as the money has to come from somewhere.
Pamsdish oh my goodness, that's a lot of money for one tooth! I think I would have had to have a restorative gin or two as well.

Couple of small salad spends on iceberg lettuces, cucumber and tomatoes since my last post, £1.72.
Wasn't planning any grocery shops but got tempted by T*sco offering me £3 off a £20 spend voucher (in-store only) so off I went early this morning, stocked up and spent £24. Christmas food all bought now apart from fresh veg. I've hit my budget total for November so that should be it as only a week to go.
Total budget spent £90

Well, I am now £2.05 over and that will increase by another £60-odd before the month's done. I've added the £55 from the mid-week "top-up", plus the £72 spent between the market & the butcher's today; there will be milk, bananas & bread added mid-week (but not nuts!) and the usual cheese, fish, fruit & veg next weekend, though I may not need to buy any meat if I "shop" from the old freezer instead. To think I thought I'd get away with less this month, as we have no weekend guests - sigh!
I'm either going to have to re-assess the budget or the way we eat. We certainly could eat cheaper, but at present don't need to, and I'm very much in favour of supporting local producers & traders whilst we can, as our market will be closing down before long. Having two different diets going on doesn't help, but I'd never persuade OH to go veggie or pesca, or the DDs to eat meat again. Time to put my thinking cap on!Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6 -
Had a couple of shops since I last posted and now have £59.29 left for the last week of the month. That should do as shouldn't need too much more other than more fruit and possibly long life milk and eggs.

In my campervan for the weekend, so bought some easy food and spent £14.00 in Asda. Still within budget with 10 days to go. If I manage to stay in budget by the end of the month, I think I will keep it where it is for December and then look to reduce by £50 in January. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

Spent £10.54 in Marks on milk, yoghurt, tomatoes, papayas (fresh market specials), butternut squash and fresh ginger. That leaves me with £31.13 for the last 9 days of the month, so so far, so good, I think.
Am absurdly excited about meeting a friend in person rather than digitally tomorrow afternoon, we haven't met since February. I'm thrilled and really looking forward to seeing her smile.

I did a weekly Aldee shop yesterday and spent £32.08. The bill was more than that but I’d bought chocolates as a Christmas present for some neighbours who have been really good to me and my son over this year with chats and texts to see how we are. I also bought some small cards for my son but I’m not entirely sure if they will be allowed to have the Christmas postbox at school this year. Still at 99p for 30 I’m willing to take the hit 😂. I did get a frozen cheesecake for Christmas but there was hardly anything else Christmas food wise left; the veggie options were just the normal stuff they have, generally based on cheese so I can make better myself. Need one more shop out of November so hopeful to hit my target. Pamsdish my hound had 16 teeth removed 2 years ago for £700, bad teeth are a renowned greyhound fault, the only one they have though 🥰SPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)4

We collected a massive click and collect order this week so are now stocked up for the rest of the month. A couple of missing items - most notably cat litter (and cat food was missed off by me) and the broccoli looks very sad (not just limp, it looks like a bad bit has been picked off the top) - It's the inclusion of things I am sure someone would not accept themselves that puts me off really and I'm hoping to be able to go myself in December. Spend on fresh items is down but stores is off the scale (this is because I have been buying things like a 6 pack of coffee on a subscription service and although it is cheaper in the long run for the brands I like, it means shelling out up-front.
I'm re-jigging the plans so the broccoli is used this weekend (it sure as heck won't last beyond then!
Oh yes, assuming I don't have to go out for anything else it will just be milk to go this month so will still have double my usual amount available for December.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
