Spent £34.13 at Lidl and £1.93 at the shop this morning for Lunch and some buttermilk.
£122.27 / £320
Actually quite pleased as this will hopefully last me until next Monday (so from 1st - 23rd November) but I've decided to run my budget payday to payday so will start a new challenge on 20th November.
Now using Financier.io to budget (thanks again @BrassicWoman) and looking forward to seeing how I get on next month!3 -
The first shop of my month. Was very pleased that i only spent £36 in lidl, but then went to Tesco for about 3 extra bits and ended up buying more (obviously 🙄) and spent an extra £28. So a total of £56 which is annoying but isn't too bad as my limit is £70 per week. Few things unplanned for i got more of as they were on offer or hard to get lately. So I think my best bet it to try not to go to the supermarket weekly and just go sent I'm desperate! But.... Got a £10 voucher from lidl that needs using up in under one week so i guess I'll be back in a week's time!Grocery challenge:

Went to M&S this afternoon in a rage because my rubber washing up gloves had an impossible to spot hole in one hand and what I thought was a packet containing another pair under the sink turned out to be j cloths! Grrr expletive
Spent £10.03 including the astronomical sum of £2.80 for extra strong Marigolds and then spent £1.84 in T*sco on the way home on a new kitchen note pad. That leaves me with £75.70 to last until the end of this month.
Off to bed now and tomorrow's another day, night all, goldfinches.4 -

We have a working hob now so yay for that. Will make budgeting a bit easier, however we are already over.
Will only buy what is needed. Will only buy what is needed!
£193.25/£180.
£13.25 over.
Our extractor is still waiting for the splashback to be delivered before it goes up. I really need to paint the ceiling but keep putting it off because I don't fancy washing it (as there are marks from the old cupboards). Awaiting delivery of some primer undercoat too before I can do the base units in their new shade of grey - it won't be finished by Christmas after nearly four months waiting for the splashback. Nightmare!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Had to brave Smith's today to purchase new pens and discovered that the person who laid out their one-way system is an idiot! Between hopelessly confusing layout and rain splattered glasses that were misting up indoors over my mask, I made a complete mess of the whole thing and when another customer asked me if I was in the queue for the self-scanner checkouts I had to say "I hope so."
Anyway I spent £6.99 so have £68.71 left.
Night all and sweet dreams, goldfinches."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

£26.10 spent on the groceries this week. Was able to reduce spending by creating stuff out of the flour 'mountain' of a 14kg bag that was my OH's crazy purchase during lockdown. Interesting just how inventive we've become5
