Fayolle thanks for thinking of us, hoping they will allow a bit of leeway over the weekend so we can go back to DD2 uni and get her stuff she needs to study and then she will spend the lockdown here with us, which will be much better for her (she has a tiny uni residence studio, we live in a nice big house with garden and a mug (me) who does all the cooking washing etc). Not sure what DD1 will do, I guess they will be asked to isolate so they can be called upon to volunteer like in the spring but she is not so far away and with a hospital badge can easily come home if she needs to. They have said it is for 4 weeks but many medical experts saying it will need 6 hence why started now so we can be 'free' for Christmas. Schools staying open which will help lots of parents. Awaiting details of if I can still work but I doubt it, may just finish the last few lessons by video.
Bed made, clothes picked up
WM on
Dining room tidy
Need to pack a few things for overnight and check cat feeders are full
Have a good day and keep SMILING

Good morning
Sounds like a plan, Mademoiselle. Fingers crossed for you.
Up at “work” time this morning. This week’s moral - never take the same week off as me, as it always rains incessantly.Bed stripped and wm on. Bedroom window opened to freshen it up a bit. Today’s plan is to “do” the bedroom and the spare room from yesterday’s list plus the bathroom which I seemed to manage to forget earlier in the week. DD has a driving lesson this morning, so I will have an hour to make a noise upstairs when she isn’t studying. I’d also like to sort through my seed collection, and get any needed ordered in good time.Have a lovely day all, and keep dry and warm.8 -
Mademoiselle its a worry isnt it, glad your girls can get home though. We are only in Tier 1 but I am resigned to Christmas being very quiet, mind you DS started chemo on Christmas day last year so nothing can ever be as bad as that!
Iona hope the painkillers work, take care x
Still tired but got myself out of bed at 6am to have a brew with DS before he went to work then did my exercise class. Terrible forecast here, I have a site meeting at 3pm and have already had a message asking if it's still on - yes, dont you have a coat and wellies!
Pigpen I dont have any suggestions for getting husbands and partners to listen to you, except continually repeating yourself in words of one syllable. You do deserve a bit of support with the finances though.
Have a good Thursday all, off to put washing over the airer, make myself look presentable, and get on with the paid stuff. Catch you all later x8 -
Good morning 😁
I have just caught up on the thread. Well done on all the hard work going on! I am glad to see some are a bit happier, especially ASB & YL. How did the meeting go Badcat? Mademoiselle I hope you get DD sorted at home before you lockdown. Thinking of you all - I fear we are not far behind you 😥
It is like groundhog day here! Although I did break it up a by going for a test yesterday! I have a tickly cough, so thought I would get it checked out while we are isolating anyway. I should get the results today 🤞 and hopefully we will be back to normal next week. Any excuse to get out for a walk! 😂
Roast dinner cooked yesterday, and I WULTD & put on the DW afterwards, & S&S the kitchen. The LR was vac'd, along with the stairs - but that was about it! I did some more toy painting - hoping to finish that today. I really need to find my guag!!
Round 1
Get up & dressed!
Breakfast
Check bank accounts & emails
Make a plan for the rest of the day!
Have a good day everyone!

Unloaded dishwasher and reloaded with the breakfast things
WULTD everything else - I had made yogurt late last night
Tidied all round, put tools away that DS1 had used
Sorted my pansies, tulips and narcissi into sets so that I know what I shall be planting in each pot, once I've taken out the still-gorgeous fuchsias and cut them back so that they'll fit in the porch for overwintering
Rang DS2 with a view to driving over to see them this afternoon and taking DGS3+4 out from under their parents' feet for an hour or so, while we're still Tier 1
Showered and dressed
It's a start!
Hope everyone has a good day despite the rain. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx

Round 1 done, except the 'make a plan...' bit!
I have just lost my s**t at DD2. No real reason really - maybe isolation is getting to me 🤪 I am now hiding in the bedroom watching daytime TV. I just want to be on my own for a bit.
The kitchen is a bomb site, despite me washing up last night. I can hear DH emptying the DW and getting dinner started 👍 I think I scared him! 😂
I need my laptop, which is downstairs. I may leave it a while.... I have my tapestry up here so I may do some of that to wind down....9 -
Morning all (just!)
We were up and out early this morning, there was a free kids sports club on the field local to us. As the saying goes there's no such things as bad weather, only the wrong clothes! They had a brilliant time, were thoroughly drenched and muddy. Showers being had now and I've lit the fire. The coats are drip drying in front of it. Another day I really wish I had a TD but I can't justify paying out for a decent energy efficient one at the moment.Lunch will be a concoction of leftovers. Baking is on the cards for this afternoon, and I really should do a bin bag dance.Have lovely days all xx9 -
Afternoon all
Upstairs cleaned through, including the bathroom and the stairs. 2 Easter bonnets from years back dismantled and ready to move out of the house. Various deliveries from earlier in the week sorted through. The most exciting was the delivery of books from the localish independent bookshop. That has yielded a Christmas present for DH, one for DD and one each for them to give to me! I also sorted out getting a regular milk delivery, which has been on my list for an age.
GI - I totally get it. DH also suddenly gets very busy when I lose it, as it doesn’t happen often, but is lethal when I do! DH has been at home since March, apart from about 3 days. I often hide out in the spare room, just needing some space.
This afternoon I need to sort out a wrong delivery and a damaged one.8 -
Just had the rooms measured for new carpet. unfortunately, due to government guidelines, they cannot lift old carpet or move furniture...that's going to have a massive impact on my decision making. I seriously doubt I have the strength and stamina needed to do that bit myself. Plus I would then have to get rid of the old carpet...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Boog was supposed to have a telephone appointment at 12:30 with the dietician and thye have not called.. I rang at 1:30 and they claimed they had called.. I hate it when they lie.
OH's new pc has arrived.. which his mother bought him.. let's not say a word, because I can not form a civilised sentence about it..
Dr's called because they rang and said they needed to talk to me about a hospital appointment so I was confused because I haven't had any.
I am trundling out to Boots in the moist to pick up prescriptions and then I am listing stuff. I need some apples.
