WM is on
Lunch in the oven
DD2 and I are off to meet DD1 this afternoon for a bit of shopping, before we get locked down again (president is speaking tonight to anounce new stricter measures so not likely to be going out for the next 4 weeks)
ASB have a lovely day out, I love kids crafts, glue, coloured bits of paper and scissors and I'm happy. My last kids group did skeletons with ear buds for bones and the teens did an origami phone/tablet holder (that was hard in a foreign language)
Valli enjoy your newly decorated room.

Mahoosive walk done, we all have glowing red cheeks and sleepy eyes! Beef stew about to be served up, fire roaring. I did put the heating on to ensure the house was cosy when we got in, first time it's been on this autumn so not too bad.Kiddies are going to bed at 7, and I'll catch up on GBBO after that. Life feels good today xx9

Aww ASB you sound happy. I used to love October half term, getting outdoors in the fresh air, Halloween fun, and the promise of Christmas ahead.
All good here, except I am sleeping badly and having endless dreams on a night, so I felt like death this morning. Had to meet with a work contractor at 8.30am and he must have thought I was a complete dimwit because I couldnt get my brain into gear.
Roast dinner cooked, two loads of washing almost dried outside, called at Li@l on the way home and stuck to my list. Have agreed to do a voluntary zoom meeting at 8pm so will get that out of the way and get an early night I think.10 -
Lovely, ASB.
Mademoiselle - reading the latest news, I hope you and your DDs are going to be ok.
Paperwork mountain reduced, if not cleared. Frog munched - tax return finally submitted. Seem to have broken the printer in the process.9 -
My head is majorly frazzled. DD1 and the grandbeasties cme round today.. I offloaded a binbag of hand-me-downs and 2 large boxes of base plates for her new-to-her shed. That opens up a chunk of shed space and clears out some of her house too.. that is all good!Other than that I have 1x DW and put a few bits in the WM.
Nothing had been ebeasted, flung or binned.. I am tired, fed up and a bit on the angry side if I am honest. DD1 did say the house looks a bit emptier so I must be making progress or getting better at stacking stuff so it looks less.

Would anyone mind if I slapped OH for not actually listening, conversing or offering any kind of help support or advice regarding the finances in this house? I swear if he doesn't start behaving like he is a part of this family he soon will not be and it will be through his own choice!

Thank you Honey Bear8 -
I have achieved a little today:
- rang GP surgery at 8.00 and was only 31st in the queue for telephone appointments. Dr rang me back at 11.30, and as a result I have to go and pick up a prescription of strong painkillers tomorrow
- emptied all the indoor bins and put out the black and green bins for collection (DH should have done this last night)
- cleaned all through downstairs including the ensuite, and hoovered upstairs
- a friend on the other side of the country rang just as I was about to prepare lunch: we only had a brief chat but she'll ring again tomorrow evening
- went shopping in the "village" for bits of food and some pansies for the patio pots - got the plants from the greengrocers at a good MSE price, cheaper than the GC- and also bought a new central heating thermostat/programmer in the town centre
- delivered notices of AGM to 11 households and chatted to several people
- took Rosie for her walk and saw the pair of buzzards who live in the covert
- tea baked and half eaten, the rest to be frozen; Twinks made and several ditto, the rest packed up for DS1 and family
- DS1 came this evening and replaced the bayonet fitting for the main light in the study, declared the bathroom extractor deceased and sent me out for a replacement (got to T001 station 2 minutes before closing time!) which he then fitted, replaced the CH programmer and also the light switch in the kitchen which was full of grit. All done in under 2 hours. He is a good lad!
Lots of emails to send tomorrow, including one to DS2 to ask what they're doing for the rest of the week. We are teetering on the brink of Tier 2, but not quite there yet, so I'm hoping to fit in a quick visit.
Well done Valli on your decorating.
Well done pigpen on your flinging.
Hope your day was all good, asb.
