Morning
after careful consideration I have decided a second coat of paint will be applied to the guest room walls. So that's today's job.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Good morning
I have the rest of the week off work wooty woot woot. I hate feeling that I am “wasting” my hard earned annual leave, but let’s face it, it is now November, so I need to use it. Gardening plans for the days scuppered by the weather. Decorating vague hopes are more like fantasies. So flying and (hopefully) flinging /sorting it is. I also have some cooking to do (bendy veg soup and the like). DH has gone into the office for one of his rare days out of the house, so I have finished my book, am drinking tea, eating porridge and not yet dressed. Oh the brazenness 🤣.
Wm is on (thanks for the reminder, Mademoiselle), yesterday’s dried washing will be folded next.7 -
Morning all
I had my recharge day yesterday and I feel better, I did a few jobs, washing and the like, also took my car for MOT (it passed) then I read a bit, snoozed a bit and knitted a bit before having an easy supper with DH and watching a bit of telly, definitely what I needed.I have my talk with my manager this morning, I do feel in a better place and I have my notes so hopefully it will be a constructive chat, I do feel very lucky and grateful to have a secure job in these times but I can’t continue with the same pace indefinitely....
Flying wise, dailies are done, wm is swishing and dry laundry from yesterday is folded. Cuppa slurped and brekkie eaten, ok, off to work I go, will check in properly later on.
Have a good day x6 -
ooh... today..
Soggy and gross out so I will have a speedy gander at the list.. get the DW and WM and TD on and then I have a plan for the landing.. that box down and those 4 boxes up and vacuum and see if I can fill a CS box with toys from the girls room.. and sort Twinkles drawers.. I have a box of winter stuff to go in so all the 2-3/3-4 summer stuff can be moved on to new homes. I have a few coats I can fling too.
Cuppa first and feed the starving beasties.

A 'good quarter' of the guest room has had coat 2 applied. I've also covered a small bit of 'chic shadow' which had caught on the coving with white and wrapped the 'white' brush in clingfilm in case there's any more. I noticed a couple of filled patches just needed a smear of filler to level up with the wall so I've applied that - it's on the wall which will be last to be painted so I am hoping it will dry. I've also dealt with various bits in the hallway so plan to cover them later. (Natural wicker). And I am going to stick a label on the leftover paint to say which room it's in and when it was painted. I;ve just stopped for a coffee. I have a jacket spud in the oven; should be ready by 1-ish.
Usually my mum gives me a hand with the decorating. Seems odd; this. (Mind you she is 83 - and DD helped on Sunday and is as keen to prepare the ground before starting as I am - so the baton has been handed on).Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I've munched a frog. Sorted out broadband, telephone, TV and mobiles saving £354.12 per year. Flying still to be done although first of three wash loads is in the machine and I washed the breakfast dishes.Spend less now, work less later.8

Well done Jazee.
Downstairs cleaned through. Ensuite and cloakroom done. Had a bit of a LO cook off on the kitchen - roast chicken broth, broccoli soup (both will do for lunches in the week) and the last of the fresh tomatoes made into a pasta sauce for another time.
Just stopping for lunch, then I will take myself off to the spare room, for a choice of sewing, flinging, tidying or (most likely) getting distracted by all the craft books that I am accumulating in there from other places.8 -
The end is in sight - I have two sections of wall to do - it's a rough L shape - which are straightforward other than a double socket on one and the light switch on the other to paint around. I've done the big back wall and the window/radiator wall but am hungry so have stopped for jacket spud with cottage cheese and salad. Half an hour and it will be finished.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
