Keep on keeping on Round, you're doing great.
First tree is up. It's old, originally from freecycle during hard times, wonky and filled with the children's decorations from over the years. But it's colourful and the lights are twinkling.
DH is just making a roast dinner. I'll assemble the second tree after we've eaten.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Round.. if you need me I am right here.. in real life, not so very far away.. I have already had the plague and I didn't die so even if I get it again my immune system what little there is of it will know what to do.. you are welcome to visit me at any time.. do not become a rescue centre for black dogs if I can offer you some respite.. plus my neighbours don't speak English (mostly Polish and Roma) so won't be grassing on us lol. I'm not even sure they even know how many people live here, there are always people coming and going, they probably think I am dealing! This is my house and I decide who comes or does not.. and everyone I know has the good sense to not be going infecting other regardless of what illness they have! The offer is there, always.. xx I am happy for you to have my phone number if I can offer support from afar. It is never a convenient time to ring, I am always busy but also always glad to be unbusy .. nothing is more important than the people I care about, and the signal in my house is appalling so my phone cuts off every 5 minutes.. I don't go to bed until silly o'clock so will accept later calls, I know evenings alone are hard
.. but if you want it you can have it... extended offer to all fly minions.. (in other words I want you all to ring me so I can spend ALL day on the phone and not do any housework!)
TD on, some bits hung on the airers.. so I don't have to bring it in again!
2 girls bathed and deflea'd ... I recommend Nitwits bug spray.. you only use a tiny bit and it worked wonders.. bug free girls.. Dot is going in shortly, she is quiet at the moment and I am not interrupting that, it doesn't happen very often!
DW done one round, I am just going to fling in the second.
I have got a finalised christmas list for the children and just done a 'spoil' of Jazzles thanks to ebeast sales! .. I haven't spent more on him than the others but £30 bought him a ride on excavator, he will share with Lionel soon enough.. the others got harry potter and star wars lego.. how expensive is that stuff!!??? Miss Squizz wants dressing up stuff so she was easy peasy! ...and other things I know they will love.
I need new tree lights.. the kittens ate through 3 sets last year including both sets of white lights with clear wire.. can't have green cables on a pink tree!
HALLELU!!!! I just managed to get my nails booked in for Tuesday... I was due in Thursday typically.. but PHEW!!!! I already have one glued on.. one happy piggy for a couple of weeks! I don't mine moving furniture and scrubbing walls now I know I am going! The eyebrows can wait if they have to.. but yay for nails!!
Right..
ebasty pics,

Kick Boog to shovel shpoop

I need to send DS2 to shop for pack up bits too.. I shall do him a list first..
Fun times..
Oooh.. I might throw corned dog in the SC.. it'll feed OH 3-4 days

Round, you did a great job. Baby steps all the way. ❤️I have faffed and wandered all day, but must have done something, as DD has been collected, pots are washed, dinner is in the sc, crumble made for pudding. I have cancelled my day off for tomorrow, as I figured it was better to go in and face down the pile of work after having had a couple of days off, rather than go in on Wednesday and find that I am then home working from Thursday. My thoughts go out to Valli and ASB x7

Thank you Jazee xx Thank you Piggers xx Thank you Fayolle xx
Piggers - you are so very kind xx And you made me laugh and want to cry at the same time - that's an art in itself! I'm not a big telephoner but I like Messengering people and one day I will bite the bullet and come over the Bridge to meet you.
I've delivered presents and card to DS's Dad and had a SD coffee. I guess I broke the law but tomorrow I will spend 8 hours in a room with 4 people from different house holds and that's allowed??? Anyway I called at Mr C00p on the way home as the car park was nearly empty and I stuck to my list and the pizzas were YS so that was mse. I brought in my washing before I went and I'm glad I did as it was tipping down when I arrived home. I've WULTD a bowl of pots, washed a load of underwear and draped it on the airer, and Sweetie's seed and water are refreshed.
We found out what happens if I open the back door at the same time as DS opens the front door! It creates a wind tunnel that nearly blows me backwards and slams shut the door between the living room and kitchen - frightening both me and Sweetie. Only lived here 17 years - you learn something new every day.
I'll DUPA while tea is cooking. And that's me done for the day.
Every time I think about tomorrow I feel a bit sick. Big hugs to asb and Valli xx I'll be thinking about you in the morning.

Well done Round!
We have INSET tomorrow so that won't be too bad; I don't work Tuesdays so plenty of time to either calm down or work myself into a panicking frenzy. I plan on wearing a mask...
I have ironed all the washing - what was out dried well enough to iron and air, so I'm pleased about that. There was also a fleece blanket which is DS's so that will be leaving the house at some point. When the heating comes on later it will finish it off.

Round, Piggers - your posts have really made me smile today, and for that I thank you.
Uniforms are out, pack ups are made, and we are having a lazy supper of cheese on toast. Big lunch of yummy toad in the hole eaten so not much more needed! All of my direct debits go out tomorrow, and it will be nice to have them out of the way for another month (other than the dreaded council tax which is later).I have meal planned for the week using what we have in, and won some brand new Clarks Goretex boots on fleabay for DD for £11 (where is that spinning Martin emoji when you need it?!).
See you all on the new thread lovelies, thank you for being such a fantastic support to me xx
PS Jazee what an excellent idea. Please can we have photos when it's up? X9 -

Hello everyone, I am still around, though not achieving as much as some of you! Yesterday was a day of frustration, trying (and failing) to put together a photo book for my littlest godson. This morning I woke up before 7.00 so got up and cooked and shelledthe sweet chestnuts that I picked up in the woods last week, and then dealt with all the remaining apples from DS1 before they went bad. The freezer is now also home to 5 foil trays of stewed fruit - they're actually eaters but cook down perfectly well for crumbles) - and a bag of chestnut bits (they fell apart!) Apart from going to church, staying for the AGM and topping up with food for Rosie and fuel for my car on the way home, and cooking carrot and ginger soup for lunch, I did nothing more until late afternoon when I took Rosie out for her walk. I am worn out after that, but in about 10 minutes from now a roast dinner should be on the table - or maybe on our knees, if DH wants to watch something enthralling on TV.
Well done on the baby steps, round - glad the Flyladies are encouraging you xx
Your tree looks lovely, Jazee xx
Pigpen, I'm not surprised you had a strop yesterday: I would have done the same. Loved your comment about leaving Dot alone while she was quiet xx
(((Hugs))) to Valli and asb and anyone else who needs them.
See you all on the new thread.9 -
Good evening!
I actually went OUT today! We took the dog for a walk, which he enjoyed and then after lunch I went to the allotment for a couple of hours 😁 Not too bad down there (well, its not under water!). I harvested the butternut squash, a cauliflower, a green pepper (it will not ripen any more outside!), 2 leeks and some lovely dahlias which are now on the mantlepiece looking cheerful. I hoed and then weeded. I hope to get back tomorrow.
Indoors, not much has happened. DS has been sorting & dusting his bedroom!! He has had 2 weeks, and chooses the last 2 days 🤦♀️ He is better at procrastination than I am!! (and that is saying something!) He has put some lego in a box and mounted his light saber on the wall (and yes, he is 22!)
Hugs to those that are struggling, especially Round, Valli & ASB. Pigpen your words were lovely. Can I echo what was said - I am here for a chat or messaging 😊
We can do this - we have done it before! Keep on keeping on!
