Morning folks!
Welcome to the thread DayDreamer!
Slight change of plan yesterday - we got everything done at the allotment and then I ended up going for a massage and OH cooked a batch of onion marmelade! He's never made any of the preserves as lead chef, let alone by himself. He's feeling very proud of himself now. And quite rightly so
I must have sounded a bit fed up when I called my mum yesterday. I suddenly got a phone call from my mum and dad's house phone number last night. I panicked completely as my parents NEVER call me. I call my mum's mobile, and that's how it works. They only call when there's bad news. I immediately assumed that my nan had died (she is 87 after all - although I'm convinced that she uses ancient gypsy remedies [her grandma was from a family of travellers] to keep herself alive or something because she is indestructible) or that my uncle had crashed his motorbike or something. But it was my DAD calling me to chat because mum said I sounded fed up! I could have passed out in shock but it was very sweet of him. He must have been really worried as I don't even think he called when I lost my job!
I couldn't get to sleep last night though which is annoying so I'm a bit sleepy today. Still, we only have ourselves to please. Today's list is:
B/L/D from stores. Try to get ahead a bit for the week too. I think that lack of mental space is affecting my desire to cook - I could happily live off cheese and crackers at the moment
On the above note, treat my body well as I'm using my stomach like a bin at the moment and I can tell because it's not feeling happy.
Pick up equipment from the gym later
Poss do a workout although I don't really feel like it. I never do Sat/Sun so it's hard to get the motivation.
Bake the apple cake. I have already took the butter out to make myself do it. - in the oven now!
Carry on with sock knitting
Look for yarn from stash as friend wants me to make a baby gift
Have a good one all

Hi happy Sunday everybody. Have almost made a little book with writing in it today, so hey ho for making things and went for a swim earlier, only 50 m from 1,5 k very annoying. Hoping to get the magic mile soon. (in an hour) So still plodding, but happily so.
Off on a walk in a bit and then some prep later while the young one cooks fish and chips for us - should be good. Should be a NSD day!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

So I don't know what happens to my weekends, but now an other one is gone and it has been a nice weekend. Long walk yesterday and today, didn't eat til 9 last night as I was too busy too cook! Yet - no cleaning done, no prep for work done, frankly I don't know where to start as was away last week. Lots of laundry, lots of talking done but that is about it.
Oh and I keep forgetting to put my double windows back on - so bedroom is a bit draughty, problem is I want to wash the windows first so it will take a couple of hours!
Anyways have a lovely evening see ya'll next week.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Spent most of yesterday shopping and chauffeuring DB1 about, and had 2 of my nieces and DB2 over today so have achieved nothing, but had a lovely few hours and some beautiful pictures drawn for me, so I’m not too bothered. Jobs will get done during the week...time with family is so much more important, especially at the moment💕💕4

Yet another rant from me haha ... Am I being unreasonable or is FIL taking the p***? Know why I usually don’t bother when wife takes son somewhere with in-laws. Today was pumpkin picking absolute waste of money, boring and car is now filthy. Steward directed FIL into a space on grass but not very muddy and then directed me to park at the back of a really muddy field no reasoning other than probably envy – there were spaces near where FIL was parked. Tried parking in a reasonable place where the car wouldn’t have got filthy but at this place you aren’t allowed to complain and have to park where you’re told haha. Would have drove off tbh any other day. Completely soured my day then was forced to walk round a field with smug FIL who insisted on paying just to humiliate me (he knows about the debts). Son enjoyed it tbf but I won’t be going again.Goals W/C 12th Oct
1. Spend less than £50 entertainment probably not going to be hard this week. Done - only £25 spent.
2. £10 groceries spend (have everything we need so should not be spending anymore than a few quid on milk or loaf of bread). £5.40 total / £0 today
3. Check and update the Yolt app daily. Check
4. Structured work days - 9am starts 5.45pm finishes, emails off in evening. Lunch with wife. Eat dinner with family rather than wife cooking twice. N/A
5. Train with wife 4x this week. Going to regret this I know haha. She’s already decided what we’re doing so no chance of backing out now. Day 4 smashed it.
6. Activity with son everyday - probably going to be dog walk not going to be allowed to do much else... Another family day but not been amazing haha5
