When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Thanks for starting the thread DNMS, hope you have a nice day
Been out for a dog walk, and OH is getting ready to go away for a couple of days. My plans for today include:Dusting and tidying downstairs - I swerved this over the weekend and did lots of gardening instead
Take some oddments out of the freezer for lunch (there is an odd panini roll floating about, and some bits of mozzarella), and make a veggie curry for dinner
Think about changing the curtains in the living room.Wrap a couple of items sold on ebay over the weekend, and think about listing a few moreWalk dog again laterLight the stove late afternoon / early evening instead of putting the heating onPhone my brother this evening and ask him to disconnect the old washing machine sometime this week, and connect the new one when it arrives. It is wired in so not simply a matter of unplugging / plugging in
Brother trained as an electrician, so best that he does it.6 -

            Morning folks
@Betharooni - I hope today is a better day for you
Was hoping to start the week with a bang but felt quite off all night. Too warm and waking up but shattered now and tummy a bit off. I don't think I have a temperature. This has happened a few times now and the culprit seems to be pizza-related. We had home made pizza last night. I don't seem to have a wheat issue and I'm wondering if maybe I'm not happy with large-ish amounts of yeast? If it's like before, I'll likely feel better about lunchtime-ish. Felt really guilty about the gym though as cancelled in the middle of the night which meant that no one managed to get my spot and the 6am class is always oversubscribed.
So small things today:
 WFH
Await to see our region's fate from Boris the all-knowing
B/L/D from stores
 Wash on and out
Assuming that stomach takes it's normal course, prep things for gym tomorrow
See about stitching an outline round brother's present
Have a good one all

            Morning all.
Not been feeling great recently so have been mini hibernating, also had low self esteem which has put me in a downward spiral of eating more unhealthy junk. Will post more regularly this week as left it for last.
I'm tired today but trying to stay positive and start the week off good. Got SW tonight and I'm hoping I maintain at the very least, then going to meal prep. I'm wanting to order Feed your Family on a £20 a week book, as I would like to shave a bit off the food bill. There only two of us. Anyone tried the book and got any feedback?
This week to do list so far:- Make packups for rest of week
 - Pay old but small debt that's been lingering around for a year now...
 - Pay Klarna for small clothes shop I did couple of weeks ago

Keep safe & try keep smiling everyone.7 -
Thank you @determined_new_ms for starting the thread this week ⭐
The last few Mondays haven't worked particularly well, so I have made some changes to when we do things to see if that has a positive impact 🤞 We prepared most of our packed lunch, we find filled flatbreads are not good the next day but only take a couple of minutes to do on the day especially now everyone can make their own.
The second change we are trying is doing a lesson with ds whilst dd trains, I don't think I will try dd having a lesson whilst ds trains as she would struggle to concentrate, I have packed something just in case though.
Plans for today:
⭐Record spends (only training costs) ✔️
⭐Bring packed lunch and water out with us ✔️
⭐Update freezer inventory ✔️
⭐ Make bolognese for later in the week ✔️
Daily:
🍄B/L/D from stores 👍
🍄Home educate the children 👍
🍄Pmp etc 👍
🍄Continue my email project 👍

@AdsWhoAdds I have got that book - on loan from library. I liked the recipes and the ones I tried were good. I thought her portion sizes were massive and some of the dishes can lend to being unhealthy but overall I'd give it a good rating
