Hi all
DS1 and DS2 went off to play golf at 11.30am and havent come back yet, DSs GF is on her own in DSs bedroom, I shouted through the door earlier to see if she wanted and drink and she said she was fine, poor girl has had a bit of a boring day. DH and I have done his month end accounts, and I have ordered a couple of Christmas presents online, as well as some new thermals (very rock n roll!).
Washing is in tumbler, I hung it out but it was a waste of time, it just made it feel cold. Beef is in the oven for tea (a rare treat here), think there will be 6 of us. Might go and start peeling some spuds.
Feel oddly unsettled today, you know when you just feel slightly on edge but dont really know why? ... Wish I was one of those laid back people who never worries about anything!! See you on the new thread x8 -
Washing brought in and laundry shuffle ensured that it all fitted on to the airer which is by the radiator in the front entrance.
Jacket potatoes, beans and cheese thoroughly enjoyed.
GF has been here for four weeks now. Hopefully she will soon get a start date for her new job, (after chasing HR and the references they were waiting for) and fingers crossed they will be offered the house they want to rent. If not at least they have a roof over their heads while they look for another.
Waiting for Mr M to deliver. I feel quite relaxed (almost didn't recognise the feeling!) - the trick will be maintaining the calm in the face of the chaos at work tomorrow. But I have my eye on the 'carrot' of a four day weekend that awaits me.
Stay safe

I don't know.. it is an option to consider. I am concerned about paying too much over the longer term.. but I guess I can pay the loan payments off as an 'overpayment'.. that should work.. thank you.. I am so stressed by the whole situation I can't even think any rational thoughts.Loanranger21 said:Piggers, could you borrow a bit more on your mortgage? I see from your signature your interest rate is 2.41 %, unlikely that a loan from bank etc will be as low. Just my thoughts on it.

Piggers, if it were me I would phone my mortgage provider tomorrow and just hypothetically pose the question... house needs upgrades and some urgent repairs before winter sets in, how much could we add to the mortgage at same interest rate and can we make penalty free overpayments ? They can only say no or yes here's such and such. Be careful the loan to value does not exceed their limit which would put your interest rate up. Ask if there are fees to pay.

I needd to phone them anyway.. My mortgage is complex.. the deeds of the house are in my name but the mortgage is still in joint names with the ex.. BUT I have paid the mortgage by myself for the 12 years since he left it. I was allowed to change mortgage product without his consent and I have just emailed them about removing him from the mortgage so it is just in my name .. whether they would allow more to be added in the middle of a fixed rate period I would have to check.. but yes, I will definitely ask. TBH it was not something I had considered..Loanranger21 said:Piggers, if it were me I would phone my mortgage provider tomorrow and just hypothetically pose the question... house needs upgrades and some urgent repairs before winter sets in, how much could we add to the mortgage at same interest rate and can we make penalty free overpayments ?
