Well happy here, this afternoon I had a redwing bird in the garden, so it seems it is sort of rare in this area.Dinner doneWashing up doneBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Spent a couple of hours picking my way through a 25 minute video, frame by frame, to find the best pictures.
Sent a text at 9.00 to the flooring fitter, reminding him that my vinolay had been waiting for him in the shop for 3 weeks. Within 30 minutes I had received a phonecall from him to say that he would come to us this afternoon, since the carpet for somebody else had not arrived as promised.
WMx3 done and dried outside (sheets and towels).
Quick shopping trip: returned 2 unwanted items to M&5, picked up an order from Dun3lm, collected a plant from the nursery (paid for with Christmas vouchers) *without* stopping for coffee (MSE!), and delivered a letter locally.
Got home to find the fitter already here. He finished within 90 minutes (including his lunch break), and did a brilliant job. The flooring is the same pattern as the old one, so I'm very happy.
Took Rosie for a longish walk over he fields. Was delayed going out by a phonecall from my littlest godchildren's dad, so it was almost dark by the time we got home.
Too tired to cook properly, so DH had leftovers from yesterday and I have eaten all sorts of junk that I shouldn't have.
Nearly bedtime - time to test out my new V-shaped pillow8 -
Good morning all
It’s Friday, tired here too, we are all running on empty here. And we don’t have half the excuse that others of you do, so many hugs to all xWm isn’t on (I’ll take that as mse, but it’s actually more that I cba), dinner will be a leftover/ tinned tomatoes / tinned bean combo (mse again, but see comment about wm above).
The Council have decided yet again that 2 simultaneous sets of traffic light controlled roadworks in a narrow town centre is a really good plan, and I also need to get petrol after dropping off at school, on the way to work.Hugs, sticks and spoons, although I might keep the odd spoon for myself today x7 -
Morning, it's Friday! Off to work this morning but will be home for lunch, OH coming home too so I won't be tempted to hang around the shops in town (good for my budget). Then need to fly.
Bed made, clothes picked up
Managed to fill a big bin bag this morning (by picking up piles of stuff waiting to go that had been put here and there) and I caught the bin men so pleased with that.
DW unloaded
Time for a quick breakfast before I dash out, that will stop me being tempted when I walk past the boulangerie and the smell of warm bread and croissants
Hugs & spoons for anyone who wants/needs, see you later when I've done something.7 -
Morning everyone.
So far I have
- opened curtains
- had breakfast
- S&S'd kitchen
- tidied LR
- FUPA clean washing
- hoovered all through upstairs
- showered and dressed
- sorted load for WMx1
I slept quite well, but my back is stiff and my shoulder aches a bit, so will take things steady today! Maybe I could munch a frog...
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round xx

Fed up.. really fed up.. I am angry and upset and just stuck. I can not make any decisions on the house stuff because OH is incapable of having an adult conversation and I am so frustrated I want to slap him.. why should I have to do it all myself? He has lived here 11 years, it is everyones home so why is it all on me? I am rather resigned to the fact they live in a perfectly clean and tidy house while I live in a total pig sty but surely some input in the actual fabric before it collapses around their ears does concern them? I won't even venture into christmas spending..
OH at work shortly so hopefully that will spur me on to fling some stuff.. I do so much better when home alone and can do 15 jobs at once and no one under foot. I wonder if anyone would notice if I threw everything from their spick and span house in the bin.
Cat smashed the mirror in the loo at 1:15 this morning.. so that had to be cleaned up. I need to vacuum and mop in there today to catch any stray tiny bits of glass.
washing needs hanging to dry.. inside or outside I don't care.

Pigpen, it sounds like you look after them all too well. But seriously this is exactely what is meant by the extra mental workload that women often have. Yes men & kids will help around the house but have to be told what to do, it's mainly women who take on the task of holding it all together and worrying about everything.
Back from work, lunch eaten, kitchen sink unblocked. Time to get on with cleaning this place up a bit. I've got floors to vacuum and washing up to do. (And a boss who wants me to work every afternoon next week as one of the teahers has just lost her father, I'm happy to help out but so far this year I've worked nearly as many hours as I did when I was a teacher, I gave it up this year and said I would just be available to help out if necessary. So far I've done admin, teacher training, being present because I know the parents, helping with tricky classes and now it looks like I'm going to run a teens holiday course. Enough! I must learn to say NO)
Off to put the kettle on and wash up whilst waiting for it to boil
