    Hi guys
Im just back from a lovely walk on the prom with my friend and her little grandson, it’s a bit chilly but nice and there’s a takeaway cafe that does hot chocolate, very pleasant.
My online shop arrived earlier , everything there but the Xmas cake is tiny. It’s supposed to serve 16 portions but they’d be really small 😃 I may have to buy some more fruit cake to go with it, one of my traditions is Xmas cake and milk for breakfast a couple of times over Xmas 🎄
Apparently we are in tier 3, not a surprise and I doubt it will make much of a difference cos most of our shops were open anyway. I’m off next week as well now, using up my holiday allocation so hopefully I’ll miss any mad rush to shop.
Ive a bit pot of chilli in the slow cooker, it smell fab already.
    Anyway time to get on

    Hi guys
OH treated me to McDs for lunch, a lovely treat. I think everyone had the same idea, the queue was really long but what’s the rush theses days. I was so full that I had a nice nap afterwards so not much has been done today at all.
After yesterday’s online shop I decided that I’ll give next weeks shop a miss and just replace absolute necessities. The money saved is going into my Xmas present account (only direct family are getting presents, the great nephews and nieces are just having money transferred to the relevant parents)
This is why I like a good stock of food in so I can have a week off food shopping in I need to.  I’ll see how I get on and might do next week as well. I only need the fresh stuff Xmas week now and if I buy mince pies and Choc logs chances are I’d only have to replace them nearer the time anyway.
After Xmas I’ll need to aim to get the debt down as quickly as possible and also try to lose as much weight as possible. We had a Florida hol booked for this September just gone but moved it to 2021 so if we can go by then we’ll be ready for it. It will be our joint 60th birthdays then so I’m hoping it will happen but only if it’s safe.

    Hi guys
Ive had quite a productive evening, I’ve messaged all the family that’s children are getting money this year instead of vouchers and then transferred it, so my bank account is looking a bit sorry for itself but it’s a major job down.
I needed bread and fresh air this afternoon so I had a walk to L’dl, they had packs of smoked salmon reduced and crumpets (Xmas day breakfast) so both are now in the freezer. We’re getting to the stage where the mince pies , and stollen which are dated to new year, unfortunately they might have to be replaced a few times  ( but it is December tomorrow)
I’m putting the decorations up tomorrow ( I’m really looking forward to it )  I think it seems to be a popular thing this year , lots of people I know already have their decs up.
    Look after yourselves guys

    Hi guys
Today is the first day of Xmas here. Normally it’s later but as there’s not much to do we thought we’d start early.
So our tiny tree is decorated, the advent calendars and Xmas ornaments are up. They look lovely.
Tomorrow I’m banishing OH to DS2s for a few hours so that I can wrap the Xmas presents and start the Xmas cards. It will give me chance to spread everything out and I want to be well ahead before I go back to work next week.
It was nice to have something planned for a change today
Part of me is disappointed that we move into Tier 3 a midnight and the other part knows it’s necessary. I think I’m just going to get my head round this is going to be normal until the vaccinations have taken place now.
Anyway enough of that for now
    Keep well and warm

We also move to tier 3 at midnight, not that much difference to lockdown really. Won’t be too much longer we can get a vaccination and start the road back to normality 🙏

Tier 3 here as well, but I'm now allowed to see clients again, so hurry! Work again for me.
Sounds like your doing well cuddlymarm.

    Hi guys
Good news about the vaccinations. I know it will be a while until our turn but it’s still positive.
Our holiday we had booked for Feb 21 has now been cancelled So now we have to start the long drawn out procedure of either finding a suitable holiday for a year later with them or getting our money back. After the fun we had with Tui at the beginning of lockdown I’m not looking forward to it at all.
We might be getting sleet in the morning so it looks like winter is on it’s way. Ideally the less snow and ice we get this year the better.
I had a busy day yesterday, all the presents are now wrapped and stored at DS2s house. He’s more space than us and he’s in our bubble so Xmas dinner will be there. We are going to visit DS1 and his partner on Boxing Day and we’ll meet my sister (who lost her husband just before the lockdown) outside to take her presents. That’s our Xmas planned, now all I have to do is keep up with the sweets and mince pies that keep disappearing 😋
    Keep well and warm

We had 2 holidays cancelled this year, both with Jet2. I must say they were very prompt at giving a refund. Could you move it to later in the year? I’m keeping my fingers crossed we can get away at the end of April but if not then August, here’s hoping.

We’ve already moved last Septembers hol to September 21 and the others going with us also have autumn hols booked too so it’s difficult. We were in Cape Verdi when the lockdown started and they sent a rescue flight for us all, not an experience I want to go through again. I felt sorry for the staff but was annoyed at the hotel complex being shut down around us. We lost 4 days out of a 10 day hol and we had to take the refund in “goodwill “ vouchers. I think they were happier to give us ours because we just were knocking them off our next hol but they still took quite a while.
One thing that I’ve learnt about the last few months is just to go with the flow.

Similar good experience with Jet 2, where were you going in Feb ? I’ve Lanzarote booked for Feb, hoping they cancel it soon before I have to pay the balance
