Hi guys
Today has been a lazy day. All I’ve done is prep the roast and watch tv and now the roast is smelling wonderful 😋😋😋
I’ll probably need to pop out for milk tomorrow but I’ll just walk round to the local shop for that. The fridge finally looks a little emptier, but I’ve still loads of food in so I’ll do a menu plan tomorrow using up what’s going out of date next. None of my cheese glut is sooner than Feb and it won’t last that long and I’ve enough spuds, carrots and parsnips in before I even touch the freezer and tinned veg.
The New Year and Brexit came in with a fizzle rather than a bang which is how I’d like it to stay. We spoke to various family members on the phone and online and finished the open bottle of Baileys and a bottle of Prosecco that I got as a present.
The biscuits and chocolate has now all gone too so I may surprise my body by giving it fruit tomorrow.
One of my sale dresses arrived on Wednesday and looks lovely apart from being a little tight on the tummy and hips but it won’t be getting worn until summer so I must lose weight by then.
My resolutions are to get back to my target weight and get rid of the credit card debt. I’ve managed £100 off already this week cos I didn’t need any groceries and of course not going anywhere last night helped too.
Happy New Year

Hi guys
Day one of the diet - ok so far. No breakfast cos I didn’t get up til 10 30 , cheese and biccies for lunch and leftover lamb in curry sauce with mixed veg for tea. All prepped and ready. OH is dieting too , much easier if we’re both on the same page.
The weather report said we might get a bit of snow around lunch time but it never happened which is good. It looks like it’s going to be cold and dry for the next few days. I don’t mind this as long as it’s bright, it’s when it’s gloomy that I’m not keen.
I’m back at work tomorrow but only for 4 hours. It will be interesting how it goes, whether people are taking notice of tier 4 or just ignoring it like they did during lockdown.
Shopping wise I should only need milk and cooking oil this week which will help with paying the credit card down.

I’m also on a mission to get back to my goal weight. Approx 7lbs off should do it. If you think of it as changing the way you eat not a diet it’s a lot easier. I got to goal 19 years ago with WW after too many years of trying different diets, lost just over a stone and completely changed the way I eat. More or less managed to stay within goal range ever since with the odd blip. I miss going to proper WW meetings, that’s what keeps me motivated and I really miss chatting to the other members in real life.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Hi Sun_Addict
I’ve signed up to WW online to give myself a boost. I did classes with WW when the kids were young but it crept on over the years. I did SW and got to target but a combination of a couple of holidays, staying with my sister when her OH was terminally ill and then the stress of COVID did severe damage. I know what to do but it was a matter of getting back in the right place. After years of hating buying clothes I rediscovered the joy again when I got to target and I’ve got loads that don’t fit at the moment and that has to change.
Day 2 has been good. I’ve been keeping a coffee or tea on the go to fill me up.
I was on work today and was sent home again , this time after an hour, I’ll get furlough for the hours not done but if it keeps being this quiet I doubt they’ll carry on opening on a Sunday.Tonight is the family zoom call, it’s such a good way of keeping in touch and it’s nice to be able to see them.
Anyway bye for now
Keep safe.

It seemed to be extra cold today. I had to put my dressing gown over my clothes while I was working from home today, even though the heating was on. I hate being cold 🥶 I’m back on track properly today. Have you got the WW app, I think it’s brilliant.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Hi just popped in to say keep going with the diet if only it would come off as quickly as it goes on I like wow I lost weight years ago with it and I had tried every diet in the book but that just works for me I am on a big health kick son getting married in August 2022 it’s seems a long way off but it’s not really and I want to be slim fit and healthy for the day3

Hi guys
Thanks for the support with the diet. I like the WW app, it’s so easy with the barcode reader, when I did it before there were books and a cardboard slide rule to work out points. I’m having a pork loin steak with a big pile of veg and gravy for tea. Yummy.
It is absolutely bitter here, the temperature dropped like a stone about 2 o’clock. We’ve starting closing at 3 o’clock for the time being, it’s nice going home in the daylight. I put a throw on the bed last night and it definitely helped. I’m sat with a throw over my knees at the moment, it does make a difference but I’m struggling to get warm.Never mind, I’m not at work until Friday now so I can stay indoors.
Keep well and warm guys

Hi Sarah
Im doing Weight Watchers online at the moment. When I took it on the offer was 3 months £13.95 but the first month free. I think the offers change but it’s worth a look. I’m going to carry it on because it gives me the discipline just doing it myself doesn’t.I decided that I won’t need next Tuesday tesco slot so I’ve cancelled it so someone else who needs it can have it. I’ve still loads of stuff in and I’ll just pop to Lidl for the bits I’m running low on. I’m aiming for no more than £15 per week as much as possible with a £40 shop only when really necessary. My first week at £15 starting Xmas day because I get paid on Fridays was £4.89 with the spare money I would’ve spent going straight off the credit card. As soon as I can stop paying interest the better. It’s absolutely freezing here again, but looks lovely. One of the selling points of our tiny flat is the sea view and I really enjoy it, very relaxing.I’m off now until Friday now. I may have an afternoon of watching tv, I’m rewatching a Discovery of Witches at the moment ready for the new series to start, and getting on with a crocheted throw. I lost interest in the summer and made a knitted one instead so I’m going to finish that one now.
Keep safe and warm guys 💜
