Brambling, thanks. Don't bother about the 3lb I have lost, but could you please add the outstanding 5 lb to my challenge amount.
There's not a snowball's chance of nailing that this quarter, but it gives me something to aim for.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Another half a pound and I'll be in the 14 stone bracket, been a while since I was thereI started sorting my wardrobes, cleared a load out and found a coat still with tags on I'd bought in the sale a few years ago to slim into that fits so I'm sorted for winter x

Evening Everyone
I had a good day again today.
Breakfast: the usual mini latte
Lunch: Scrambled egg on sourdough toast, banana
Dinner: Salmon in a lemon and dill creamy sauce with green beans and peas. Greek yoghurt with raspberries
Snacks : 2 squares of dark chocolate, piece of Brie
Exercise: 90 minutes of tennis, short walk to work to see son and back
Mini Victory: Went to the supermarket to stock up for the next 4 to 6 weeks, but didn't buy any 'treats' such as icecream, lollies, cakes or biscuits to tempt me later!

Hi so I am still home ill, and waiting for my test result, have a laryngitis sore throat and tired, so thought it better. And it means I have a day to read at home.
So I decided to measure up - I can't find my old measurements, but I am definitely smaller, I now fit a small size 14 down from an expanding size 16. I am happy w size 14 as I am fairly tall, so just to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Foodwise my new trick is to boil vege with the pasta and have about 40% vege, I'm talking fast food here, on busy work days - frozen peas, broccoli, and then I blended some olives into my tomato sauce with a veggie burger. Very lovely and filling. Still about a full on 700 cal meal, but lovely cheap, and at the mo I'm munching spinach pasta from tesc0 cheap and tasty.
Might attempt to make some rye flour bread rolls today as am home.
Have a lovely day everybody.
Zippy I love that shopping in my wardrobe feeling. I am currently wearing a pair of purple jeans that fit pretty perfectly and I'm thinking they could be upgraded to black so I can wear them out of the house!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

I hope you're feeling better Ditty 🙂. I find that some times you can lose inches and not pounds
not a lot to report today, a cold wet day spent on one long conference call where again I drew the short straw in trying to run the call 🙄 I resisted the temptation of gin and chocolate 😁 food was also similar to yesterday mug of HM soup and crustless quiche for lunch and dinner was a noodle, vegetable LO chicken concoction (open fridge and throw it in 🤞)
I've avoided putting the heating on but not sure it I will be able to for much longer, this WFH could start to get more costly than the extra tea bags 😳

Thanks Brambling, I got my test and it was negative, so it's just the old strep throat. Not really getting any exercise now though this week.
Can you get a space heater, so you just heat the room you're in if you're in a big house? I just keep my central heating on - on low and wear my woolly socks!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

I'm also trying to decide when to put the heating on Brambling. Got a boiler service in a couple of weeks so I need to at least turn it on and test it before the engineer comes. I'm going to try my usual morning and evening (pre WFH) times and see how it goes. Had a very stressful day yesterday, tried to download the NHS Covid app and my quite old smartphone is now very ill. Doesn't work at all apart from texts and hopefully calls. Getting a replacement asap but I scoffed a whole packet of ginger nut biscuits whilst trying to sort it out. Thankfully it's not my work mobile or that really would have been a crisis, I dread to think what I might have eaten otherwise. Confession over, I'm not going to beat myself up about it!!.3

Evening Everyone
I had a bit of a fall off the diet last night and ate a pancake, a large chunk of Brie and a bag of salted cashews after my meals for the day! Today has been back to being good.
Brunch: Bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomato. Small apple
Dinner: Sole in a lemon and parsley dusting with green beans and four tiny new potatoes. Greek Yoghurt with home made lemon curd.
Snacks: 4 espresso sized lattes, 2 squares of dark chocolate
Exercise: 90 minutes tennis, short walk

Marion, one whole packet of ginger biscuits would have put half a stone on me and taken a month to get rid of.
As for rosewood, Tut! is all I can say.
This is your friendly hypocrite speaking. I am really stuggling to get back into the right frame of mind for losing the weight I put on overnight. Now the weather is colder I am craving carbs like never before. I have never cut them out completely because for my rebellious nature it is the quickest way to disaster, but I have restricted them. Now it's toast and cake and biscuits, and buns and biscuits and chips and...............you get the picture?
Anyway, today I will make a SF jelly. A poor substitute for apple pie but there we go.I believe that friends are quiet angels
