Rage - actually, that wasn't "energy" as such :o (please dispell any mental ideal of Queenie singing "Whistle while you work ... " ... it was good old fashioned channelling of negative energy into something productive other than resorting to sucking out dh's eyeballs for being such a numpty!! (My mother used to bake bread when she had those 'moments' but loading a bread machine doesn't have quite the same effect ;) )

I find a deep sigh and wandering off usually helps (although I have to be careful not to mutter as he can't hear "can you set the table" but he can hear "mutter mutter useless......"). But I know what you mean.......... :rotfl:
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    morning

lillibet - my friend has just had to throw out her futon mattress and is in dispair as she can't find a new one. I now have a brilliant idea to pass on to her thanks :)

Cheese and onion pie - Yum Now I feel really hungry

So far I have cobbled together a salad style packed lunch (posh name for several cold leftover bits from the fridge!), and ignored the proddge pan in the sink, before dashing to work.

    I am feeling filled with motivation at the moment (due to reading all your posts), but whether it will still be there later on I'm not sure. Anyway. Today's plan is as follows;

    1. finally sort though small mountain of mail that has accumulated over the past couple of weeks
    2. sort out the meal plan for the next couple of weeks and buy the food required
    3. whip round the bathroom with vinegar spray

If I do all that, I am going to reward myself by making some Be-Ro book goodies!!!!

Today I shall be lying in the garden with me library book under the shade of two loads of washing. A small tincture may pass my lips by way of a celebration. I'm soooo chuffed I've got to tell ya.
Before I came to this site we managed but had a few debts and an overdraft, nothing by some peoples standards but there was always more month than money and we lived hand to mouth. Both our cars needed credit to be replaced and Christmas and Holidays took far longer to pay off than we got pleasure from them.
18 months ago we decided to take the bull by the horns and takle the prob MSE style. It took eight months to clear the debts and since then we have stayed in the black. Projected car upgrades look schduled to be loan free. We have bought a holiday home to replace the expensive foreign holidays and now bobby back and forth a couple of times a month:j for the same price of two of our old holls a year:j . And after spending this morning looking at various spreadsheets I think we can pay a couple of grand off the mortgage next year is all goes to plan.:j

Well done Math, Always good to hear when it's working for someone;)

As an aside, have you considered renting out the holiday home, even just occasionally could make a further BIG impact on your finances? Just a thought.

Anyway, enjoy you're day in the sun:p

You are all the nicest....pottyest????people on the web!!! lol Gives a smile to most of my days.

Rage - I have a box in the hall where all ebay items that I have listed are put. As soon as I receive payment I can easily find the item and post either that day or the next if not possible. This is the best way I have found to keep track of where I am with it all! hth

    G'day old stylers,

Catznine- a birthday box is a really useful thing to set up. I have one in my sideboard drawer, I stock up on cards in cheap shops where you can get 4 for £1, I also keep sellotape and giftwrap that I've bought from markets for very cheaply.

Last night I made 2 rhubarb crumbles, the rhubarb I got from my neighbour who has an allotment and seels me stuff very cheaply. I gave 1 crumble to my mum.

This morning I hoovered the house and have 1 lot of washing on (with vinegar instead of fabric conditioner of course!).

Last night I planted out the rest of the marigolds we had grown from seed in the spare room windowsill.

Yesterdays shopping for seeds went well, I got carrot seeds for 69p, pepper seeds for free, and paid full price for the red onion (boo) but never mind. I also found lots of strong rubber bands outside my front door that postie has kindly disposed of, so now I have a free way of securing some clear sandwich bags around my next lot of seeds in a pot.

I intended to clean yesterday, but It went a bit pear shaped, boyf had an organised at the last minute band practice, and went along to see how they are coming along, and I got to chill out on a big comfy sofa reading my paper - so at least I had some fun! Watched a DVD last night too, we have one of those movie bank places that you can go into 24 hours, and actually managed to take it back within the 6 hours to get it for 99p. it was 'vanity fair' which I particularly wanted to see because plenty of filming was done in Bath (although they claimed it was Mayfair in London in the movie - confused me immensley!) and it was quite cool to see the street where one of my freinds has a flat, and boyf and I kept 'quickfiring' - whoever noticed it was actually Bath and name the place/street, was the cleverest! (I won!)

Today - Ive got one load of laundry ready to go, and intend to take a quick shower, go and do the food shopping at Lidl so I can acquire a load of boxes too for packing (shopping got sidelined yesterday too), post a few bits of mail, clean the bathroom and lounge, and then make more pasta (Ravioli - already got the mince outta the freezer).

I had a wander round the house this morning, all the student boys came back to pick up thier last bits of stuff over the weekend, and managed to salvage a lot of freebies. This is the best part of the year for me - boys can never be bothered to spend a minute cleaning something, so they just abandon it and I get to pillage the spoils as it were.

I got another can opener, a really good strong one
    two decent chopping boards
    a toaster
A filter coffee machine (although it is mouldy inside, and is missing the glass jug - so im deliberating whether it is worth it?? What do you reckon? To be fair, it is a cheap model - but im a moneysaver!)
    A cheese grater
A big hookah/shisha pipe, strawberry tobacco stuff and the coals!
two big bags (unopened) of pasta
An unopened box of organic vegetarian burger mix (which I will probably use to bulk up ordinary mince beef)
and A crystal decanter!! (I think they will remember though - probably one of them stole it off thier parents and it will be wanted back, so ill keep it safe, if they dont claim within 3 months, its mine!)

They all need a bit of a clean (just surface dirt - nothing too horrendous) so I will do that later, and pack them up in a big box.
I have no idea how much all that would normally cost, but Im pleased anyway!

    Good day to you all!
