  • Oooh i am so tired this morning, i've worked one hell of a week, rediculously long, then last 3 doors down decided to have a BBQ party. Very noisy but ok its not too late, then noise stopped about 11pm. Cool I think, very considerate of them, so i have a shower and go to bed. 12.30am party erupts back out into the garden, lots of laughter, shouting, mucking about, F'ing this, S'ing that, the whole close could not have heard them, with all our windows open.

At 1am some grown men are playfighting on the front lawn, so I go round and say "sorry to be a party popper and i dont' want to spoil your fun, but please can you keep the noise down, your conversations are travelling and we can hear every word you say". They moved back into the back garden but the noise levels were just the same.

Bf manages to sleep through this but i'm there getting more and more annoyed, but not got the courage to go around again. So i end up downstairs at 2am drinking tea. Went back to the spare room as its at the back and slept badly till 5.30, then I moved back into my bed and cat napped again till 7.30am. I realy needed some sleep last night and now I feel pooshank!

Part of me is trying to be reasonable as its not as if they do it every week, but for god's sake 2am, loud noise, shouting, swearing and they have a 3 year old girl living next door to them.

Sorry I digres, but i feel much better for getting that out.

O/S ways, well I'm seeing a financial advisor today about a mortgage and I don't intend on spending much else apart from buying an anniversary card.

    Have a good weekend all.

Well, I've got a load of college work to do as my course finishes this week and I just need to tie up loose ends. :) Unfortunately I still don't have a job :(

So, today will be spent working but before I do that I've got to go to Tesco. I've made a list and it's really short - thank goodness, especially as OH got a load of salad items (iceberg, gem, celery etc) from his staff shop. We're using up a lot of store cupboard stuff at the moment, which is brilliant!

Next Saturday will be complete bliss when I don't have to do college work, so I'll probably spend it baking as we only have one banana cake left in the freezer.

Tonight we're going to a friend's house for supper, which will be nice as I don't have to think about anything other than choosing a bottle of wine from our wine rack to take round! :D

    Have a good day everyone.

As some of you already know, I failed a unit in my last year of Uni so have had to write letters here there and everywhere, but am now feeling a little better, but still havent told the parents yet.

I then missed a call at 11 this morning while I was dealing with assorted bits of general correspondence, which happened to be the agency I registered with a couple of days ago, who had work for me, but when I called them back at 12.30, they filled the job    .

And the Bank is now seriously annoying me - they keep saying they have applied the extra bit of overdraft, but still isnt done, after millions of phonecalls etc, after 4 weeks. I think im going to post on the bank board and find a place to make a BIG complaint letter too.....

Oh dear you have had a rough time.

    1. Your parents have probably twigged somethings up by now especially after HRH has graduated on the front pages so they will be wondering so they've probably worked it out themselves.

    2. What kind of work are you looking for? Have you thought about clerking at a Hospital - ring them- they usually have their own bank staff as they don't want to spend money on an agency if they can help it.

    3. Go to the CAB - that's what I did. Or march into your branch and demand the address of the Banking Ombudsman - those two little words seem to work wonders in my experience.

Finally, us women would have walked 'round the house but all men are, in my experience, related to Homer Simpson and, ask yourself, what would he have done? Yep, 9/10 times it's what the male in your life would do. I rest my case M'Lord :D
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • :hello: hello all - not a great deal done today really. sorted out my admin, paid bills, did the washing up (OH said he'd do it but has only just got up ....) sorted out the washing, seen to the budgie. still got to go to asda for monthly shop - wanted to be there early but OH not capable seeing as he was out last night and we had planned to go into town and make a day of it as they have a German Market on and a new exhibition at the art gallery - well, we'll see............. and my head hurts again :shhh: Still did quite a bit of sewing last night uninterupted so that was nice...... i thought I'd pop in primarily to say I love these threads, and always make a bee line for reading them, but dor some reason don't usually post on them!!! So today I am going to finish tiling part of the bathroom, I painted the skirting boards at 1am last night, seemed like a good idea - and it was cause they are happily drying now!!!

I'm going to reseal the kitchen sink and look at getting some paint for the hallway.

It will also be on with the washing machine, unfortunately the sun has now gone....but I hope it will be back tomorrow. I'm going to get the sewing machine out and take up some curtains and hopefully make a new duvet to match them, I have a single duvet in matching fabric so thought I'd get enough in a similar plain coulour to make the underneath bit!! Same for the pillows.

Then I need to empty and wash the fridge - OS Question " what can I use to clean the outside of my fridge, which seems to be going a lovely shade of grey at the moment...."??? I've tried plain vinegar and hot soppy water.....not getting anywhere....

Then lastly I'll hoover, go food shopping and see what lovely delights I can cook for OH who comes home tomorrow!!!

Hope you all have a great day and look forward to posting tomorrow that hopefully I have accomplished at least some of the above ;)

Morning. Had a bit of a lie in (well, after feeding the Ds's, returned to bed, where I got no sleep as boys took it in turn to jump on me or use me for target practise. Mr TM was, of course, immune to all this) However, I'm still in my jimjams but have got boys ready and Mr TM has taken them into town for a couple of hours.

So, I'm going to sort out DS1's room, put a load of washing on, measure my windows in my bedroom and look for curtain material, then I'm going to make a moussaka for tea. Not tried that before, so we'll see :) I'm also not good enough to make my own curtains yet. Maybe I'll start on some small ones, but my bedroom has such huge windows and the material I want is thick, so best leave it to some one who knows.

If I time it right, I'll go out just before Mr TM gets back so I can have a mooch w/out the boys. May go to the local farm shops and investigate. Can't leave them too long as Mr TM is marking GCSE papers so I can't expect him to concentrate on that and look after 2 boys who want to play outside - usually at the front of the house.

Ok, off to do some sit-ups. Well, my friend who's going on hols with us says we have a private villa, so we can have a 'flabastic' time, but I still want a flat stomach (I can dream :D)

Sayurday *Urgghhhh* DD woke me by singing a song about pirates at 7am this morning. I finally managed to doze back off an OH woke me at 9.30 to tell me that DD had woken him up  Then he let DD into our room (She has a gate on her room to keep her out of trouble and in her room ;)) so she came bouncing in with a book and singing songs and not shut up since! Got up just before 10 and had breakfast in my PJ's cooked by OH (poached eggs on toast), gotten dressed and now I'm reading the local free paper and here while OH has a bath and DD "reads" in her room :D

When OH got some tax credit money back(£323) we sort of decided (well I suggested and he didn't object :rotfl:) that we could either split it 3 ways (£100 for OH, me and the house) or we could pay off debts. Since I am desperate to get some flooring for the kitchen and a wardrobe of some form for our room (I'm sick of dusty clothes), oh and a table for the garden, we should be going out to buy some bits today so I'm going to have a look at the B&Q website at the sale items. I'll take note of the prices and then we can go to the big local(ish) DIY store, Taskers, and have a look there :D We could go to the cheapest store but OH "hates going into town because of the parking"

Ah well, off to other sites and the paper.

The bank have finally sorted out the mess that they have created, although I now have a lovely charge slapped on my account, which wont get sorted till monday, and not v v happy. Anyway, go the rest of my results today, obviously I still have to do re-takes, but one of my results actually really suprised me, I got a 58 (high 2:2) in a class I knew absolutley nothing about, and it was an exceptionally hot and noisy day - maybe I DO need background annoyances to do good work. Aside from that, most of my results just missed out on being 2:1's, which is a bit poop, I seem to do really well in coursework and exams always seem to miss the 2:1 - and this year was mostly exam based - but Ive come to the conclusion that I dont care, Im proud of the results I got, ive learned a lot, and though I may not graduate with my friends, well, ill still get the degree at the end of September, so its not all doom and gloom! ;)

Ive decided to take a part time course at college next year - I really want to do a photography class, my true passion! Ive found one locally, for the evening, and hopefully it wont cost the earth. My boyf and I were talking last night, and we want to eventually start up our own business - I quite like the idea of being a photographer, so there is no harm in at least doing the course to see if I am actually good, as opposed to thinking im good! :D

Anyway, as a present to myself, im going to go shopping today, to buy myself my first ever rolling pin, and some kind of pasta device, I havent decided what yet, but we have a MASSIVE kitchen store in town, full of everything an O/S nutcase could ever want - ill have fun there methinks. Then im going to buy myself some nice ingredients, and make myself some lovely pasta. Does anyone know if fresh pasta freezes well? Or would it be worth making fresh each time??

Anyway, im dying for another cuppa tea, then ill take a quick shower then im going out for the day! Ive decided I need to get out of the house, now that the weather has turned - great thunderstorm - I think my knee is psychic too - it really ached until the storm started, then it eased off (and i didnt take any painkillers before you ask!) - and its cool enough to go for a walk!

I hope you all have a lovely day!

    Jo xx
