Well the house is clean, I've uploaded another 14 items to Ebay and now have 1 bid and 9 "Watchers". I also went out in the back garden and managed to tie up DD's sunflowers which are now about 5ft tall which is taller than the cane that they're attached to and they're still growing  I also tied up my tomato plants and took the side shoots out.

We had salad and crab for tea followed by watermelon. OH said he can't get used to me going out into the yard for tea :rotfl:OH and I have just had 2 crumpets each for supper that I got reduced and froze :D I even managed to wash up almost straight after tea tonight which I hardly ever do:o, which actually probably explains the huge amounts of washing up I do during the day :rotfl: OH and I have just had 2 crumpets each for supper that I got reduced and froze :D so he's settling down to watch Moonraker while compute for the night.

Talking about making soaps etc has anyone ever ordered from this website http://www.justasoap.co.uk/catalog/index.php/ My mum phoned me this afternoon as you can buy kilogram buckets of bicarb for £1.30 inc. VAT and she thought I might be interested :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Queenie - Just wanted to say thanks for info on your oatmeal soap. I had an attempt at making some tonight, but as I had no essential oils, I subsituted some boots rose hand lotion instead. Will have to see how it turns out!

I also managed to write out some Xmas cards (found some spare ones from last year) whilst DS was asleep, and get my mum to dye my hair. Its nice to know there are so many friendly peeps on this board. My mole is not so sore now :)

    Roll on the weekend...

Give the money you are willing for them to blow,to the kids to spend ,then when they wave you over, you can say,Oh I gave the money to the kids, got to encourage independence, cant see where they've got to for the minute :)

Well, im finally back online after our stupid internet provider (centralpoint - god knows who they are - the boys found them  and I reckon they are probably going down the pan - but anyway) decided to change the settings or whatever so it took us DAYS to get back online, and have generally had a bit of a rubbish week!

As some of you already know, I failed a unit in my last year of Uni so have had to write letters here there and everywhere, but am now feeling a little better, but still havent told the parents yet.

The weather has been appalingly hot, I woke up at 4am last night, I could barely breath, and was sweating buckets  , so ended up finding the coldest room in the house to sleep in (right at the back, pretty much underground) then the boyf RANG me at 7.30am (I mean, what is wrong with just walking around the house to find me???? it isnt THAT big!!) to see where id dissapeared to. I finally fell back asleep and woke up at 9am.

I then missed a call at 11 this morning while I was dealing with assorted bits of general correspondence, which happened to be the agency I registered with a couple of days ago, who had work for me, but when I called them back at 12.30, they filled the job    . So more waiting to finally work (after quitting my 'new' job after 4 days - 65 hours of back breaking physical work a week - I dont think so!) but hopefully, something will turn up quickly, they seem keen to get some £££ out of me!

I randomly registered for a vision 2 learn course a couple of weeks ago, and finally got all the stuff today to start doing the course, which has pleased me somewhat, but now im a bit worried I wont have time, Im trying to find boyf and I a new place to rent, and have to find the deposit money too :o

The cat has gone into her first 'heat' thing, and is meowing like nothing on earth, and is lolling about everywhere, but is still her adorable self. Ohhh - She now eats a variety of bugs that 'appear' in the house, including spiders, daddy long legs, and a woodlouse, and appears to enjoy it immensley. Saves me having to get rid of them anyway :p

And the Bank is now seriously annoying me - they keep saying they have applied the extra bit of overdraft, but still isnt done, after millions of phonecalls etc, after 4 weeks. I think im going to post on the bank board and find a place to make a BIG complaint letter too.....

Hope everyone is well, and I will definately be making that oatmeal soap, it sounds excellent!

    Hi jo,

Sorry to hear about the uni unit - will they let you make it up over the summer/carry it to next year? I know that I did that with a couple of things (only time I didn't end up with at least one resit was my final year - quite how I'm not sure but I got my degree :o ). Good luck with telling your folks - it's not easy but it's a relief to have done it...
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...

    :hello: Good Morning :hello:

Bit tired this morning - stayed up late watching BB :o justified it by doing the ironing, justified *not* ironing by forgetting to plug it in ;) - bread cooling, no laundry o/side (we finally got our storm last night :j ) so laundry hanging inside instead. Uniforms to wash/mend still.

D11yo is cooking dinner tonight (assisted) and he's choosing from his cookbook, so I'm not sure what we're having yet LOL

Hope you all have a great weekend

    'Morning Queenie

Up bright and early this morning and have been meandering around the internet.

Took loaf out of breadmaker at 6 am and put large chicken into slow cooker ... so it chicken today, Sunday, Monday .... ;)

Will meander down to the local shops later on (via a quick trip round the charity shop) to pick up some fruit and veg. It will also be a baking day ... probably flapjack and buns as they are quick and easy to make.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
