Morning all.
I've not been very active this past week or so, arthritis playing up, but I've just spent an hour in the garden tying up my tomatoes and cursing the slugs. I put a load of washing on but didn't close the washer properly so it's not done yet. I've got the breadmaker on and am about to make a corned beef pie for tea. I think I may have a coffee first and cut up some old tights to make plant ties.
Have a nice day everyone.0 -
((Penny-Pincher!!)) sorry about your pains
so debilitating!
It's good that you remain positive about what you *can* do though :T so I wish you well with your paperwork ... don't forget to reward yourself for your achievements
nicki - wishing you a successful shopping trip; in this heat the earlier in the day the better
Lillibet - oh you poor thing, "morning" sickness is the pits!! I do feel for you in this heat too - I had to resort to sleeping on a sunlounger in front of the open patio doors when heavily pregnant with my youngest (an August baby).
Rage - I've learned not to "ask" ... I adopted the US expression of a "Honey-Do" listie: I write a To-Do list for Mr Queenie
LOL (Today, he is clearing out the Utility Room <-- my word -- of all his old junk, so now he is in "the lean to" <
his word --- building up a sweat) I've already sized it up and drawn up a basic plan of what should go where etc., so once he's cleared out his bitsa's I can hopefully start looking at dismantling some of the units and rearranging the UTILITY room into some sense!
I have the washing on the line now and I'm also airing the duvets over the line too (did you know that exposing bedding to sunlight - especially in this heat - kills off dust mites?)
Now the marigolds are flowering, I've made a mental note to collect the flowerheads and leaves to make a hair tonic (adds a reddish tone to your hair).

Hiya!
I'm stuck in this office all day, with the blinds shut would you believe, on a day like this.
Anyway my OH is at home looking wonderfully pregnant which means I get the benefit of all the lovely home made food! Oh yesss.
Last night was lamb burgers followed by apple pie and today i've taken to work a couple of slices of quiche that were made yesterday.
Wonder what wonderful cooking smells i'm going home to tonight?
Lifes good. Wish I was at home with her though...........0 -
I'm not sure a list would be read - or even still be in the building when i got back
If he can't look at a calendar to remember his GP apts a list isn't going to be followed........ still, i shall give it a go.

Rage - have you seen the I-pod advertised on E4?? Maybe you could make one from an old bucket and a coathanger and write your Honey Do list and stick it to the inside of the bucket
(if he's a technophobe, call it a sun hat
)

Up at 5am to let my 3 groups of pet rats out for 1 hour each before it got too hot. Washed one cage and rats hammocks and towels in the washer, another 2 loads of washing to do. This afternoon will be spent making lasagnes to freeze and all this talk of apple pie is making my mouth water, will have to see if I've got any apples in the freezer.January spend = £100
