Rebob wrote:Let me know what you think of the breadmaker as I would like one but have heard that some are brill and others are c***! Which seller did you get it off too?
Hi rebob,
I bought one of these, this one is currently for sale and ending tonight on ebay, from the same seller . ebay no 4389848152. I'm on my second loaf today and I give this one a thumbs up:beer: .#The seller uses DHL I bought mine Saturday night and got it this morning.0 -
I've been busy ebaying all day. I've uploaded 21 items and sorted out another 9 sets of listings as I'm trying to keep the dispatch cost below £10 per time. I'm planning on listing them 3 days apart so I don't have to spend hours standing in the post office with loads of parcels
I learnt my lesson the first time I sold anything, I listed about 30 items and 75%+ sold and I spent over £25 in the post office and ended up with the woman giving me a sack to put the stuff in myself :doh:I'm just making a start on the items I haven't yet typed up into Turbo Lister, still got 3 big boxes of stuff I've photographed but not written, a big lot of DD's clothing that needs sorting and another big box of stuff that's "appeared" to be priced/photographed/listed :eek:_pale_
I guess I should think about tea soon but DD has asked for pasta so that can always be left until OH gets in :shhh: - Off to find where I should list a Beefeater London Distilled Dry Gin Apron :think:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Made up the Cranks recipe for home made lemonade today as I had some lemons to use up and it is very refreshing! Will post on recipe index tho not sure where "sweets" maybe? Will see if it is there already first. Very easy anyway.
Other than that just made some bread and checked on the "slug stew" (yuk) I am sure there were twice the number of snails in it (my beer trap) last night, have visions of paraletic, drunk and squiffy snails and slugs partying on down into the small hours under the shrubbery of my garden having the last laugh at me!
Rest of my time before work spent with my new (2nd hand) book on scrapbooking that turned up from amazon today. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Just post it into the recipe thread and I'll index it into the snacks and nibbles section

Queenie, where are you??
For the first time in about three weeks I have actually slept right through the night and now I need you to motivate me through the day
No intentions of running around baking bread etc just need to do something constructive :rotfl:0 -
Morning all......got a day off today so thought I'd use it constuctivly...well, the thought was there - just need to get off this chair and put it into practice.
Am aiming to give the kitchen a complete going over today, with all this extra cooking that's been going on its looking a bit grubby...needs a good portion of elbow grease I think.
While i'm waiting for the floor to dry I'm aiming to get the sewing machine out to hem some cot sheets and have a go at making some lap quilts that turn into cushions that I read about on here a while back. Have just been given a nice new winter weight duvet (my parents couldn't get on with it being so thick) so my old one is being recycled into lap quilts and a couple of new cat beds.
Have managed to pull a real sneaky this week too - went to my mums and helped her clean out her larder and freezer....lots of stuff she wasn't going to use before she moves next month so she donated it to my larder instead......literally have enough that I don't need to eat from my stock this week....I love my mothers over spending sometimes!!!!
Will make some bread later and then do some research into my new slow cooker.....I've got some amazon vouchers for doing online surveys so thought I'd put them to good use....also while I'm clearing out the kitchen today I'm going to find a space to store it..then there's no excuse...(will also throw my old slow cooker away as it really is past it now...every time I get it out something else falls off or goes wrong).
Hope everyone else has a good day :j"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
is it only 10:08 ? Although I havan't done much today it really feels like it should be at least an hour later
I'm spending today doing more ebay stuff. I swear the stuff is multiplying in the boxes. I had a hell of a shock last night when I opened a box of trainers to list them (bought them last year sometime, only had them on for about 3 hours and my feet started to hurt - turns out they're half a size too small so I'm selling them) I pulled them out to check for marks etc and in the bottom of the box was a bl*ody spider  I hate spiders but can/have to cope with little ones as I don't want DD to end up arachniphobic (sp?) as well. You've never seen someone shut a shoebox so fast in your life. :rotfl: I emptied it outside in the street and made sure the frontdoor was shut properly. I'm convinced they've passed a message around to all spiders that our house is brilliant as I keep finding them all over the place. OH had to put a big one out the otherday but he catches them with his hand and just throws them out the window/door but he's not so keen when they tickle his hand. *shudder* I personally I'll stick to the card/glass method and the alleyway at the back of the house or the road
Right, onto the next ebay item ...Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I'm turning into a lazy slob this morning. Had a nice evening out last night, lots of food courtesy of mum and dad and DS2 slept till past 9
However, both DS2 and myself are still in jim jams so will aim to get in shower shortly.
Have one load of washing ready for the line - at least it's dry today. Woke up yesterday to 2 loads of washing on line that were nicely soaked again due to lots of that lovely summer rain!
I aim to get my breadmaker out of the cupboard again today. If I get into the hang of using it, maybe I can justify one that works properly - well, Mr TM never knows what to get me for my birthday (or even gets me anything..hmm, will have to sort this one out) Fancy making some fruity type loaf and would love to start making jams in it.
Have to go into town this afternoon. Mr TM is going to France next week and has dispatched me to purchase Euros (note : must find appropriate board on this forum to look for best deals) Might check the grabbit board before I goOh, and must take ice cream maker back - caught by impulse purchase that IS NOT needed and haven't been past shop since.
Right - off to grab small child and carry him into shower with me:D0 -
On days like this when I really don't feel like doing much I "let myself off". No big lists of things that MUST be done. There's a list, of course
but I'll pick the easiest one to do, promise myself I might just possibly get around to doing it when I've finished this chapter or this cup of coffee...
..and promise myself a half hour laze about after I've done it.
It's still surprising how much you can get done in a day and the mere fact of getting even one job out of the way makes me feel better and with that bit more energy and enthusiasm for the next one...
So...

morning all
been at work since 8 this morning so not done much else yet today. I'm planning a big bake/kitchen clean tonight - I've taken a great wodge of HM pastry out the freezer to defrost today so I'm off round to the recipies thread for some inspiration
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...0
