Oh Jo I am so sorry about that how horrible for you. Make up your mind to do well on the re-take though and get your qualification never mind how much later it is. My son failed on his last modules and never went back, something I think he regrets now! Although he has done very well and is now in a job he loves so all came right in the end for him.

Hope the re-sit goes well, jw1096

I thought we would have a thunderstorm this morning, a few rumblings of thunder & then a little bit of rain, but nothing more. We often see rain in the distance, but it misses us usually. An old chap on the allotments (when we had one) once told me that was the reason why this area was traditionally a seed-growing area, cos of the lack of rain.

Anyway, the plan today is to make up my monthly shopping list & do a run into the nearest big town, visit wilkinsons, lidl & aldi & get a month's worth of stuff from there. That's the plan anyway......

Jo Sorry to hear that. Do not worry that you have let anyone down. You did your best and that is all that anyone can do.
The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T
  • Jo: big hug for a start. :grouphug: now it doesn't matter. an exam is only a piece of paper that says on a certain day at a certain time you could remember certain things. Re-take it and graduate next year with lots of bling. I take it you can just re-sit the exam and don't have to re-do the year..... I went to uni at the 3rd attempt (didn't go straight from school and left after 6 weeks the second time) and i got much better results than a lot of people .... so, paint your toenails bright red, sit in the garden and get a trashy novel and some pimms..... well, it works for me..... :D
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • Good Luck with re-stting Jo and you haven't let anyone down, just take your time and it'll all go smoothly in September.

My weekend was one of the worst for a long while. Spent Saturday afternoon in A&E with my eldest boy. He bounced off his bike and cracked his head badly enough to dent his helmet. He came in, washed his grazes and promptly passed out  He's fine now but he gave us quite a scare because he kept going pale and complaining he couldn't see.
Spent Sunday watching DH clean and sort his lorry while I sat in the shade feeling like hell. Nothing old style about it at all, ended up taking my brother out for tea as he was up here doing a promotion at the highland games.
Woke up this morning to discover than someone has nicked my left leg (it's completely numb again) so I'm hobbling round, miserable achy and with a mouth full of ulcers. DH has left for the week so I don't think much is going to get done today. At least I don't have to do packed lunches as the twins are on their visit to the academy and are having cooked lunches.

    I sound like a right moaner don't I :(

    Nah... :)

You can't have a good day every day! Sometimes a good whinge helps get it off your chest and put everything back in perspective. Maybe we ought to start two new "Collection Threads" - "Good days and nice things" and "Can I have a moan please?" :)

Had a very productive day so far, well at least compared to a normal Monday for me :rotfl:I've washed 3 loads of washing excluding the one from yesterday, 1.5 dry folded and ready/put away, 1.5 drying in the sun/breeze and basically another whole load had to go back in as it was the "stubbon stains" one. I did have some lights which I hadn't washed so just threw them all in together. They are in the machine now. I have a big cellular blanket to wash (was on DD bed last night when she had an "accident" so it needs washing rather than just airing), a load of towels and a set of bedding from the masterbed. Will it ever end? I spent the whole of last week washing as well!

I've also done 2 lots of dirty dishes, planted out my radish, recycled some carpet someone had dumped in the alleyway (cut some strips off it to use as "paths" so I can reach the back of my veg beds), picked up DD from nursery, played a game of UNO Rummy with her (she wants another game of it soon  ), dinner, cleaned out the inside of the fridge and fixed the spring on the sofa that decided to spring out which meant I sank into the sofa in the middle of dinner

One the other hand my Readers Digest free book (Of Love and Life) has just arrived so I'm looking forward to sitting out in the yard later in the sun and starting to read it :D PLUS my pinking shear I won on Ebay last week have arrived so I can start some of my sewing projects now. :j:j:j

With all that I've gotten done/received today plus the £323 in Tax Credits that we were owed from last year being paid to OH (and to be transfered to mine for debt payments - or at least that's the plan ;)) this is turning out to be a brilliant start to this week :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
