[I probably confused matters - I first posted the semi=detached then realised and changed it, not fast enough obviously.]I feel you have decorated with quite a definite personal taste so will be restricting your interest pool to people who share this, or want to make their own changes. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Is the sky really that blue in Kettering?
I think it looks good but not everyone likes as bold a colour scheme."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair4 -
Some of those photo's have been so overdoctored (badly) by the EA that they look totally unrealistic. I would be really concerned about what was being hidden.
However, I think your main problem is that there are never going to be a great number of people looking for houses with that many bedrooms. It's just going to be a case of waiting for someone who is to turn up.

Nothing obviously wrong with the listing. However, it’s at the top end of the market and will have a limited pool of buyers. Unless you plan to do a fire sale you might need to adjust your expectations on timings. A property like this could take 6-12 months to sell.0

I think it's very attractively presented; it may just take longer for a buyer needing 7 bedrooms to find it, but they also won't have many others to choose from either. I know it's no consolation to point out that down here near Brighton a house like yours...well you know the rest. The weekend I've had with our neighbours I could be tempted to move!Seriously though, hold your nerve. You've dropped the price a lot, maybe nudge the estate agent to advertise it further afield towards London. This strategy worked for our small 3 bed cottage; our metropolitan buyers couldn't believe the space, garden and garage and leaving them £200k in the bank. It's all relative.0

Market for 7 bedroom properties is going to be very limited. Lots of competition from some very nice 5 and 6 bedroom houses if people don't absolutely need 7 bedrooms (and for £100k less than yours).0

Your ideal buyer here is someone who was previously London-based but can now work remotely most of the time. The problem is that you're a little further from the station than would be ideal for someone commuting on a regular basis. Other than price and size for the local market there's nothing wrong with it as such.
Are the schools nearby decent? If so, mention that, this will be a family home.1 -
I think the problem may be that there is a limited number of people who want a house that size on a really small plot. The garden is really small.

Limited pool of buyers to fish from. Looks like a small plot with very little actual green garden. Garden looks overlooked and not mature. 5-6 bed houses for 100k less, it better be a very attractive 7th bedroom for that money.2

Would it be worth us converting some bedrooms to say, a gym and a cinema?1
