We have one single CLCA and one joint CLCA. To get £100 switching bonus x 2 what is the easiest method? To change the joint account to a sole account I would imagine it would need both of us attending a branch (not desirable). Would I be permitted to open a new sole CLCA online whilst already having a joint CLCA?
Not in my experience!  I currently have one joint CLCA and wanted to open a new single one.  Online won't let you - neither on the website or the app, certainly not whilst you're logged in anyway.  Club is simply not there in the additional accounts list. There is, in a small box on the page, the message that 'opening an additional club account requires a visit to branch'.

On querying this on chat I was told I could ring to open a club account.
On ringing I was taken through their automated systems and told, by an automated system, that they 'can't take my call today' and was promptly hung up on.

On querying this in app I was told that yes, it is bizarre that you can't open a second club online, even if you're entitled to another, and yes, the phones are apt to hang up on you.

On asking could they get someone to ring me to save me wasting time talking to robots that hang up I was told no.
So, it's either branch or try, yet again, on the phone.

The robot on the phone advises that opening an account that way might take 30 minutes - if they don't hang up.
    Thanks a bunch Lloyds!

I have instead, opened a classic account online - within seconds, not the 30 minutes estimated for the phone, and will, next week, ring to see if that can be upgraded to club, which I hope will not take 30 minutes.

    Unless they hang up.
I have four Club card accounts and I was able to open up another one online yesterday.  We like the cinema tickets.
How?  Did you apply with or without being logged in?
I'm sure I was requested to log on and then applied for the new account. I received notification yesterday the switch was now in progress.

When logged in, with a Club account already showing, there is, for me at least, no option for opening a Club account - as I said above it's not in the list offered.  And on that page it states quite clearly that second Club account can't be opened online.
Now I have a spare Classic account, if I go to change account type, the same thing happens, Club account is not in the list offered.
So if you were logged in the site is behaving very differently for you!
I have gone into my account area again and will allow me to apply for more Club card accounts.
Club card accounts? What are those?

As an existing Club Lloyds account holder, I can apply for a Classic, a Platinum or a Student account.
It will allow me to apply for all those you mention and offers me another  Club Lloyds Account.  Very odd considering I already hold 5 now.

My God man why always these pedantic messages? Every other message is some unnecessary put down. Just stop.

Thanks for the info, I've just switched the new halifax account that I switched last month.
Switch should complete on 22nd, then I'll switch the lloyds account to RBS once the incentive is paid. And also try getting the Ulster account with one of my Tesco accounts.

You didn't want an easy £5 a month from Halifax?

Well said! I think the poster means well. I got the impression a touch of jealousy on the posters part.

Colsten`s post is precise for a very good reason. You need to succeed in applying for a Club Lloyds Current account to enable you benefit from the £100 switch offer.

It didnt suit me, the interest on keeping 5k in there was no better than if I just keep in a savings account, and spending £500 a month on the card would be inconvenient (I'm abroad and also spend do my monthly spending on a cc).

Just so I'm sure, as soon as I've got the £100 in my account ( in 10 days it says) there's nothing (ie no penalty of any sort)  to stop me switching straightaway to another bank?
