Great work @alt80!
Phew what a day! We were up early and off to the DIY place for 10 to get the gate for the side path. This gate did not come with any fittings and the fittings didn't come with any screws so the whole thing has set us back just shy of £100. Having said that, it took a while to make but we didn't bicker at all and it looks AWESOME. We are both so pleased with ourselves!
Also nipped to a friend's and picked up a box of pears from his tree. More on that tomorrow...
OH having a well deserved bath now and then it'll be chilling and an early night. This weather is a bit mad isn't it? I've been on shorts and t-shirt all day!
See you tomorrow!

Glorious in't it reminds me of my childhood and September was always the end of the summer, lots of warm weather gently easing in to autumn. Hasn't felt like that these last yearscarrielovesfanta said:OH having a well deserved bath now and then it'll be chilling and an early night. This weather is a bit mad isn't it? Yesterday I didn't manage to post, oops. We visited my sister & family in their lovely new home and celebrated one of the big dn's birthday.
Neither me nor OH has slept well for about fortnight so we decide to have a lay-in, dd made everyone breakfast, waffles with various toppings and fried halloumi, delicious and bought it to us in bed.
Today I planned to:
NSD ✔️
B/L/D from stores ✔️
Pmp etc ✔️
Home educate the children ✔️
Collect the windfalls that fall today ✔️
Pick apples from the tree for lunch, delicious variety but does not store well ✔️
Make some progress on my email project ✔️
Update freezer inventory ✔️
Update spending diary ✔️
Wash my hair with the shampoo bar ✔️
Let my hair dry naturally ✔️ is there any other way
This week I would like to:
Rearrange dd bedroom furniture ✔️ we have moved some of the furniture but dd needs to do more decluttering before the rest is in its new position - this will be on next weeks list
Make a small repair to a cupboard that has been gifted to us ✔️
Put "new" cupboard in position and fill ✔️
Rearrange kitchen shelves, this is dependant on finding the right free boxes when I go shopping ✔️ some progress has happened, I wasn't able to get the type of box I was hoping for but I did manage to get 1 similar, more boxes are needed
Continue processing the windfall apples ✔️
I have also:
caught up with a friend on WhatsApp
cut the grass
Made a batch of rolls
