We had several lots of fireworks over the evening around us but at midnight a load of banging fireworks one after the other for a full 15 minutes. It seemed like it was coming from immediately outside our property - it was definitely very close so suspect it was the newish neighbours as it's not something that's been that loud in previous years.

Happy New Year
The debt plan sounds fine, although not quite as fine as the menu, yet again
Roast beef here.

We stole the idea from a dear friend. Every year for a long time they held a new year's day breakfast bbq open house. It was always a great day.Sun_Addict said:I wondered what you meant by bbq breakfast, great idea.
Obviously no open house this morning but it seemed like a fitting way to start the new year. Well it did yesterday when it wasn't raining anyway 🤣🤣🤣2 -
It won't be a no spends day today, we need to go to the farm shop for some fruit and vegetables today. Should be a low spends day though.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast will be using some bits up so won't quite be a full English but not far off. Dinner will be a lamb and mint pie made with the leftovers from last nights roast lamb.
We are taking the Christmas decorations down today. Should waste a few hours.4 -
Enjoy de-Christmasing the house 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

It's done now. Didn't really take as long as we were expecting. The living room looks bare!Sun_Addict said:Enjoy de-Christmasing the house 😆
The other half has just nipped to the shops and then we will take the dog out somewhere.
Might have a gin and tonic when we get back.3 -

Our last day before we are back to work tomorrow. It will be a low spend day.
Breakfast and lunch will be from stores. Breakfast is scrambled eggs on toast and lunch is game pie, cheese, crackers and pickles. We have decided to have a takeaway curry for dinner tonight. No other spends today though.
We are going to take the dog for a good long walk around the fields by the golf course today for his last long walk of the holiday. He likes it up there.4 -
Totals at the end of 2020
Debt 1 = £0
Credit Card 1 = £0 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
Credit Card 2 = £389 (£200 repayment 29.9% interest)
Credit Card 3 = £3160 (£200 repayment 29.9% interest)
Credit Card 4 = £5230 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
Credit Card 5 = £8210 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
HP = £3685 (£251 repayment)
Furniture Loan = £640 (£16.82 repayment)
ISA = £265 (£50 per month added)
Pennies Savings Account = £187.95 (Saved by rounding the bank balance to the nearest pound when logging on to online banking)
So the aim for 2021 is to get £6000 paid off these totals which I would like to think is achievable.4 -
