Definitely a good plan to start looking at BT deals - you might even find some fee free shorter options and get away with transferring to a couple of new cards maybe? If we use 0% deals for anything I always try to use the fee free ones even if it means paying a bit more off each month to get it gone in the timescales!
That was an enormous load being moved too - part of my job years ago used to be doing routing for wide loads but thankfully nothing unusually long - the widest I did at any point was about 12' though and that takes some working out as it needs such a wide turning circle!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The load had 4 articulated points. Must be a nightmare to manoeuvre. Disappointed we didn't get to see it. Apparently there might be another next year. Will go to watch that one.EssexHebridean said:Definitely a good plan to start looking at BT deals - you might even find some fee free shorter options and get away with transferring to a couple of new cards maybe? It will be a no spends day today. I think that will be number 7 but I will double check later.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was porridge, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is game pie with cajun air fried chips and vegetables.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog (think we will go in one of the big parks on the way home)
- load of washing

Plague village looks a good day out, one I think I'm going to suggest we do over this spring/ summer. Put my dog in the stocks lol. Was it busy being the weekend?
Regarding your card, get that BT organised, the Natwest 19 month fee free option is definitely worth applying for. If you still have a balance at the end of the deal, you can see what deals are out there then and if there are no fee free options, you'll be paying a smaller fee as there'll be a lesser balance so win win really.

It was surprisingly quiet at Eyam on Sunday. Could be because it was Mothers Day I suppose but we managed to grab one of the free parking spaces.alt80 said:Plague village looks a good day out, one I think I'm going to suggest we do over this spring/ summer. It will be a no spends day today. Number 8 for March.
The energy rebate has hit our bank account this morning so I have rounded that up to £100 and sent it to the savings account. Getting every last penny we can in there before the van bleeds it dry next month!
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is king prawn and duck egg omelette with air fried chips and salad.
Tonight's jobs are:- walking the dog
- cleaning the kitchen
- cleaning the van

@RelievedSheff it's quite a drive from me but I think my son would enjoy going there.
Definitely worth swapping the balance onto the card. Not sure the maintenance on your van should cost that much, could be wrong but I reckon it'll be change from £1k.
Your dinner tonight sounds really nice, would not think to put prawns in an omelette. We've had salmon this evening.
Hope the pitch for this weekend works out for you.1 -
It definitely won't cost as much as the boat did every year 🤣🤣🤣alt80 said:@RelievedSheff it's quite a drive from me but I think my son would enjoy going there.

We are reckoning on about £1k.
We have confirmation of a pitch for the weekend so we will be out this weekend. Just been out and cleaned the van so it's ready.1
