Your photos look lovely, especially the dog in the stocks 😂😂😂
I went on several visits to The Plague Village when I worked at school, and it’s a nice drop off when we are out for the day. Dd and her family stayed up the road from there in an air BnB and we had a day with them a few weeks ago. My gks were horrified that the school went to see a plague village and likened it to covid……I suppose the lockdown has more than we realise to answer for 😱
Hope the van isn’t too expensive 🤞January spends - £587.582 -
We are just resigned to April being an expensive month. We have to pay van insurance, van tax, van service and MOT, home insurance and pet insurancemilann said:Your photos look lovely, especially the dog in the stocks 😂😂😂

On the plus side I have been shopping round for insurance and the van and home insurance we should be able to get a bit cheaper this year. Not a lot maybe a saving of around £60 on last year but every little helps as they say.1 -
@RelievedSheff your dog is a real little character.
I've completely !!!!!! my internal clock I think but my wife has a very good internal clock; asleep / awake same time everyday, gets up without an alarm usually apart from yesterday and today ha.
Good to hear you've managed to get a deal on the insurances. It's the kind of thing I hate paying over the odds for but important to make sure you're getting adequate cover.1 -
We have checked the insurance cover carefully and they are all like for like policies which is good.alt80 said:@RelievedSheff your dog is a real little character.

The dog is a character. We wondered if he would lose some of that as he got older but he doesn't seem to be. In fact he seems to be getting worse if anything

It will be a no spends day today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toasted fruit loaf, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is goat chops with rice and vegetables.
No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. We are going to the sister in laws after work to drop off a load of Easter eggs for the kids. We will be busy next week so we will get it out of the way tonight.2 -
The side-eye from the dog in that picture is just hilarious!
August is our "insurance month" - 2 x cars, 2 lots of breakdown cover, home insurance and now MrEH's car service and MoT test as well although realistically we'll probably shuffle those forwards to July instead. I'm so glad we budget these days to make sure that the money is there and waiting - it makes such a difference not having that huge hit in one go and wondering where the money is coming from!
It's good to hear you're seeing a bit of a saving on the various insurances though - as you say right now it really is every little helps isn't it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
