Ours friends have just left to beat the road closures.
They have just rung to say there are lots of crews taking down traffic lights, beacons and bollards.
Wish we had not had a drink now. 😕
Sure we will find some video footage tomorrow. Won't be the same though.0 -
We ended up having an early night last night. Sure we will appreciate it today.
It will possibly be a no spends day today but I'm not calling it yet.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English for breakfast and roast chicken with all the trimmings later on for dinner.
The weather is supposed to be better today so my plan is to get the bedding washed and hung on the line and get another load done as well. I also want to get the van cleaned out and aired through while I have the chance.
We will take the dog out somewhere for a good walk. Not sure where yet. Probably somewhere local.0 -
I had forgotten how nice it is in our kitchen when the sun is streaming in.
We are sat having a coffee with both windows and the patio doors open just chilling.
The dog is laid in the sun on the patio happy as Larry.
Roll on summer ☀️1 -
We had a lovely run out into Derbyshire to the plague village. Managed to grab a free parking space and the cafe was shut so it has been a no spends day after all.

We were home again just after mid day in time to swap the dry washing on the line for another load that had just finished.
The sun was still shining so we christened the bar. Its got a tad chilly out there now though so we have retired to the kitchen.
Dinner is prepped for later. Dog is fast asleep. We will need to wake him up in a bit for another walk.
He has loved being in his garden.

Could get used to this weather again.
We have reached the bottom of the laundry basket, it is all line dried and put away.
So satisfying.
Not sure why it bothers me so much having washing drying in the spare bathroom when we never use it anyway 🤣🤣🤣2 -
Not a no spends day today. I need to do the weekly shop after work.
£393 sent to the motorhome loan today.

Credit Card 2 = £0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 3 = £0 (Account Closed)
Credit Card 4 = £0
Credit Card 5 = £0
Credit Card 6 = £0
Credit Card 7 = £10447 (£300 repayment 0% interest until May 2023)
HP Motorhome Loan = £14549 (£393 repayment final payment April 2026)
Total Debt = £24996
Savings Account = £1200
Premium Bonds = £900
Total Savings = £2100
That repayment sees us into the next thousand bracket, just.
Time to start thinking about looking for a new deal for the balance on Card 7. Only another couple of repayments on that until the 0% deal runs out. It would be nice to get a 28-30 month deal on that which would see us out until the balance is paid. If not Card 6 is offering 15 months at 0% with a 2.99% transfer fee so that will be the fall back option.1 -
Natwest/RBS are doing a 19 month no fee balance transfer at the moment which might be worth looking at even if you can only transfer part of the balance; and then put the rest on the Card 6 offer you already have.
It would certainly reduce the amount you need to pay over that time.2
