Glad to hear your OH is back to work- positive news for the business too. Do they not close over Christmas?
Don’t envy the panelling job one bit you and he are right- it’ll 100 be a nightmare! Hopefully will look good when done though.2 -

We were only saying at the weekend that him being furloughed has really played in our favour. The house would have never got decorated had he not been furloughed. Or certainly not all in one year. We have been lucky really, we know people who really are worried about their job security and who have been hot hard, whereas we have both got really secure jobs.
We know the panelling will look great when it is done. But man handling the panels in a small room is going to be a nightmare.5 -
I’m glad the furlough worked in his favour, my son was the same managed to get a few things done and he wasn’t much worse off. I went through a spate of having to change jobs every 4 years when I was in property as the firms closed down, was beginning to think I was a jinx. I’ve been in my current job 20 years now and there’s no way this place is ever going to close down 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

@RelievedSheff glad to hear re both your jobs. 🙂
@Sun_Addict ha I was wondering if our paths had crossed until you said you've been out of the property game 20 years. What did you do in property?4 -
@alt80 estate agents, surveyors then land and development consultants. Coincidentally when I first started the job I’m in now I was dealing with the same builders as in my previous job, just in a different capacity.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

@Sun_Addict can’t believe you live in next postcode, same industry also stupid with money lol. Don’t tell me you’re a chartered surveyor too ha.
I’m almost certain our paths would have crossed had you still been working in the industry. Sounds like you’re on the construction side though rather than valuation- could have done with a decent BS/ PM for my block. It’s a small world.2 -
Morning 😀 No mundane evening meals for you, I bet there's not many people having haggis tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

No alt I'm in the civil service now, my property days are long gone. I'm also much better with money than I was, don't have much choice now I'm the sole breadwinner. We don't go short though and usually have 3 holidays abroad a year. It was mainly my OH who was the big spender, it was a nightmare keeping up with him buying stuff constantly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
