Sarahwithlove said:Be good if you can get it onto the 0% after the remortgage as will save a lot in interest at that rate!
Going to try and get cards 3 and 4 transferred onto a different 0% and aim to have them both paid off in 18 months from the date of transfer.3 -
Going to be a massive boost to get off that mortgage rate and get the cards on 0%. Have you worked out how much it’ll save in interest?3

Another no spends day today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, lunch will be pizza and dinner tonight is jerk pork chops with Caribbean rice, corn on the cob, grilled cherry tomatoes on the vine and homemade mustard coleslaw.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- vacuuming the house
- load of washing
- walking the dog
The downstairs loo is now going to be a job for the holiday between Christmas and New Year. The other half usually works this but they are shutting the garage this year so he has a few extra days off work. We have ordered some wall panelling which should break the room up a bit. For the smallest room in the house it looks set to be the most difficult with the odd shapes to the walls and the ceiling!!6 -
At least OH has got stuff to do while he's off. How do you make your mustard coleslaw? I have varying degrees of success with my homemade coleslaw but don't like shop bought, although Iceland do a luxury lower fat one that's not bad. Not as nice as homemade though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

The other half isn't the sort who likes to just sit around doing nothing. He is always tinkering with something or out doing something. He gets bored easily otherwise.5 -
£80 paid off credit card 2 today.
Other than the above it will be a low spends day. We just need to pick up some milk and some butter. Not sure how I have managed to miscalculate how much milk and butter we had between online shops. And I need a bit of fuel in my car.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, lunch will be a bit of chicken salad and dinner tonight is slow cooked game casserole in Yorkshire pudding with parsnip mash and greens.
My job's today include:- working from home
- load of washing (forgot to do this yesterday)
- cleaning the bathrooms
- Sticking dinner in the slow cooker
- walking the dog

Popping on for a dose of menu/dog envy. Now I'm adding useful OH envy, if I may
Inspired by the menu posts, been cooking some more traditional meals again, that have been a bit forgotten. Steak & ale casserole plus cheese cobbler and roasted veg - kept us full for 24 hours!! Added bonus.
Well done on the steady and calm debt busting. Good luck with getting some better rates next year.
I have a friend who is a civil engineer, she is about 15 years older than you and said she has always been quite a rarity. She is the most 'can do' person I think I know.6 -
Balances update:
Debt 1 = £0
Credit Card 1 = £0 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
Credit Card 2 = £389 (£200 repayment 29.9% interest)
Credit Card 3 = £3370 (£300 repayment 29.9% interest)
Credit Card 4 = £5337 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
Credit Card 5 = £8131 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
HP = £3936 (£251 repayment)
Furniture Loan = £640 (£16.82 repayment)
ISA = £265 (£50 per month added)
Pennies Savings Account = £186.34 (Saved by rounding the bank balance to the nearest pound when logging on to online banking)
I have increased the payment on Card 2 to £200 which will see this card paid off in a couple of months time. When that card is paid off it is then time to have a think about how we go about paying off the remaining three cards in the quickest time possible while still leaving ourselves enough spare cash to enjoy ourselves

You certainly have a very handy other half. I love reading about your meals, even though I don't eat meat, they always sound so wholesome. Good news that card 2 will be gone soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
