Sun_Addict said:You certainly have a very handy other half. I love reading about your meals, even though I don't eat meat, they always sound so wholesome. Good news that card 2 will be gone soon.
Yes card 2 is the next on the hit list. Won't be long before that one is gone. With the smaller balances gone it is then time to make a plan for paying back the larger balances in a reasonable timeframe.
Must look into paying off that furniture loan as well just to tidy up and reduce some monthly repayments. That one seems like an easy target to pay off quickly.2 -
It will be a low spends day today. The other half has decided he will go to the farm shop for the fruit and veg today to save us a job tomorrow. He is also going to put some fuel in my car as he forgot yesterday and it is running on vapours now!!
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was crumpets and dinner tonight is Wagyu burgers with sweet potato wedges, onion rings and homemade coleslaw.
I think we might have fish and chips again for lunch today. Either that or a hot roast pork sandwich from the sandwich shop. Either way it will be a takeout lunch today.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- nipping into the office this afternoon to pick up my Christmas hamper
- vacuuming the house
- making coleslaw
- walking the dog
Tonight we plan to spend the evening tucked up on the sofa watching a couple of films with a few beers.4 -
Sounds like a good day planned, how exciting to be picking up the hamper. Happy Friday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

It will mean I have the afternoon away from this damn computer screen which will be a bonus. By the time I have gone to the office, had a natter with whoever is in there and then come home again it won't be worth turning the thing back on again. So an early finish in store as well.
Apparently the hampers are really very nice from what I have heard from the people that picked theirs up yesterday.
Looking forward to a relaxing weekend before the last full week at work next week.4 -
I wouldn’t mind nipping into the office just to get stuff out of my locker but we’re barred from our building at the moment because there’s been some Covid cases amongst those still going in.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

They have been lucky in the office and have not had any cases that they know off anyway.3

Once you have cleared card two I would put any extra towards card three first as its the one charging interest. When do the other twos 0% end?*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
*Virgin Credit Card - £3552.50 - £0
*Natwest - £1828.35 -£0.00
Barclaycard - £2315.25 - £0.00
Creation Finance - £960.32 £840
*Total debt - £8040/£11641.17*
Savings
*Savings Buffer - £100/£1500
*Emergency Fund - £1500/£1500

Picked the hamper up from work this afternoon and it is lovely. Lots of local Sheffield produce and a lovely cook book along with a £35 love2shop voucher.
It was nice to see people in the office and the dog enjoyed the visit. He was spoilt rotten as usual.4 -
Good that card 2 will be gone in a few months and hopefully after your remortgage you may be able to move that card 3 on to a 0% deal. I have a handy DH too. He was an electronics engineer by trade but over the years he has done everything from fitting kitchens, bathrooms, carpentry, rewiring, putting in central heating and any electrical jobs plus garden and building work. He is not a fan of plumbing but can do it. Costs loads in tools though but they get a lot of use and now he is retired our daughters get him doing jobs for them more than he does here. He is a real perfectionist so not a quick worker though.
