  • Wow that sounds great 👍
I did have to run my numbers past the accountant at work to double check I had calculated it right. It seemed too good to be true but he has confirmed that my numbers are right  :)

So we will be staying in Tier 3 over Christmas. Can't say that I am overly surprised even though cases have dropped dramatically in our area.

So no Christmas day pint at the pub for us this year  :'(
  • Definitely opt in for salary sacrifice.  I wasn't eligible for it but my DH was and his pension is brilliant.

I’m not surprised about the tier 3, I think it’s a trade off for the relaxation of rules over Christmas. Obviously they can’t justify it in the areas that have really low cases so they’ve remained in tier 2. I will also miss our Christmas Day pub drink, although missed it last year too as my leg was in plaster, what I now refer to as my trial run of lockdown 🤣
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

We are one of the areas that have dropped from tier 3 to tier 2 but I think it is a huge mistake and fully expect to be back in tier 3 after Christmas. It doesnt make much difference to us anyway as I have no intention of going anywhere except the supermarket.

I knew we'd stay in Tier 3. Bassetlaw is Covid capital of NG right now @RelievedSheff according to the post.
MP at 140/100,000 and city centre at 40/100000. Should just nuke Forest Fields though could have told you that before covid lol.

They have had an outbreak at the Greencore packing plant which has pushed the numbers up for Bassetlaw. Still not massively high though compared to some areas of the country.

I can see them gearing up for lockdown V3 after Christmas!

£251 paid off the HP loan today.

Not a no spends day today as I am going for my hair cut later.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores though. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I think I might be naughty and have a pizza for my lunch and dinner tonight is homemade chicken kievs with sweet potato wedges and vegetables.

    Todays jobs include:
    • working from home
    • load of washing
    • vacuuming the house
    • going for my hair cut
    • walking the dog x 2
