Pub was shut this morning for unknown reasons so we didn't get a pub breakfast!
The other half has decided he is going to repaint and varnish the beer garden sign today. Not sure why but it will keep him quiet and out of trouble for a few hours 😃0 -
I put my oven racks, burners, pan holders and filters from the fan in the dishwasher but without a cleaning tablet as they discoloured my filters once (they cleaned up with a wire scoured 😁) The heat seems to do a pretty good job and I just scour any stubborn bits off.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 7 for August.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was a bacon and egg sandwich, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chicken enchiladas.
We are hoping it will be a bit cooler tonight so we can walk the dog after work. No jobs other than that though. We got a lot of housework done over the weekend so we can have a couple of nights off.1 -

It never really cooled down as much as forecast. The rain never came either which is a shame. We were looking forward to some good down pours.milann said:Hope the dog enjoys a cooler walk

Turns out it was a no spends day after all. The supermarket was a tad wet and the drive back home a bit erm, exciting shall we say.

Eventually managed to get home safe and with the car intact and dry which looked doubtful a couple of times!1 -

Wow that was some rain! We had a flash flood yesterday afternoon and the rain was running down our road like the rapids! Fortunately, although our road is flat, it's at the top of some very steep hills and the rain just runs down it. Not sure how those in the valley have fared though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
