It was the 1st September 2020 that I started this diary so not far off two years ago.
At that time our unsecured debt total was £24592.
If we disregard the motorhome HP loan then in the last 24 months we have brought our unsecured debt amount down by £12045.
At the time I started this diary I would have never thought that was possible. So I would like to thank you all for keeping me accountable and giving me the encouragement to carry on reducing the balances.6 -
You're doing brilliantly @RelievedSheff, good reduction whilst living life and sorting your creditworthiness out too. Your mindset is an inspiration, you haven't let the past write your future which I greatly admire. I'd be very proud if my boy grew up with your attitude to life.2

Not much going on today. We are staying at home and trying to keep us and the dog cool.
Not a no spends day. One of us needs to go to the shop for some beer and bread.
Breakfast is a full English but we are having a takeaway for dinner later. Not sure what yet. Will decide later on.
We won't be late up. We will take the dog for a walk before it gets too hot this morning then he can have another walk when it has cooled off tonight.
I suspect we will watch a film or two during the hottest part of the day. It is staying cooler in the living room with the curtains drawn and the windows closed.1 -
That’s a fantastic reduction in such a short time and you’ve still enjoyed yourself. After I’ve been shopping my plan is to grab a cold drink, my book, sun lotion and get on that sun lounger for the rest of the day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

It is definitely too hot for doing house work. Thought I would get it done before it gets too hot but it has defeated me already!
Noticed while I was cleaning the bathrooms that the towel rail in the en suite needs replacing. It has gone rusty underneath the bottom rungs. Obviously another quality fitting by DWH 😕
Will get both of them replaced at the same time. If one is going the other won't be far behind!
First load of washing is almost dry on the line. Got a load of bedding in the machine now to hang out shortly.
The cooker hood filters, bbq griddles, and oven racks are all in the dishwasher for a hot wash. They shouldn't be much longer.
We took the dog for a lovely walk I'm the woods first thing. It was nice and fresh.

Lovely pics Sheff. Was a bit misty for us this morning but it's cleared and looks to be a lovely day now - perfect for hanging washing out!
Never thought about putting oven racks in the dishwasher before! Might have to give that a go.

Dishwasher does a great job on oven racks. Have a green scourer handy for the burnt on bits, left behind. I always take mine out as soon as the dishwasher has finished( being careful as they will be hot). The burnt on bits will still be “ soggy” and come of easily. I also put my metal cooker hood filters in the dishwasher.1

Not a no spends day today. We are going to get breakfast at the local pub this morning.
Dinner tonight is jerk rotisserie chicken on the bbq. It will be too hot to cook inside again.
We will take the dog for a walk early on again in the woods.0 -
I’m glad you’re getting good use out of the new bbq. Enjoy your pub breakfast.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
