Just sent the hab check paperwork off to the dealership where we bought the van so that they can book it in for the warranty work carrying out. It should be a fairly straight forward process but we have zero confidence in them after the performance they put up when we bought the thing from them!

I can see this turning into an ordeal.
  • Hopefully their aftersales team are better than their sales men!  Fingers crossed it goes OK x

I believe there can be long waiting lists to get a hab check…..have you had to wait long for yours?

No. We booked it before Christmas. They had plenty of choice of dates.

The main dealers were well booked up though. We used a smaller local company.

The dealers have called back and the van is booked in for the beginning of March for them to assess the parts needed, sort out the claim with the warranty provider and order the parts.

They said if they couldn't get the parts within 7 days we could take the van away again. I think they should be able to though as they are both off the shelf parts that we could get delivered next day if necessary.

Not quite a no spends day today. I had to pick some bread rolls up from the shop this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is king prawn thai curry with wholewheat noodles and spring rolls.

    Today's jobs include:
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • load of washing
    • walking the dog x 2

Do you find you’re picking more bits of shopping up now you’re back in the office? I know I do.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I do think we get into the habit of picking a couple of its up at a time from the shops when we are both at work. It doesn't really make any odds as those bits just comes off our main shop.

It will be a no spends day today. Number 3 for February.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is steak pie with chips and vegetables.

We are going to take the dog for a longer walk after work now that the evenings are getting that bit lighter. There is a nice park that we pass on the way home so we will call in there.
  • It's nice having a bit more light into the evenings isn't it - I'm cycling back to the car after work now because I at least start out from the office still with some daylight rather than having it all in the dark.
