What a horrible weather day it has been today. We have been treated to gusty winds and heavy rain on and off pretty much all day.
We did by luck manage to pick a relatively calm period to get home and get the van drained down and back in the drive.
I managed to spend more than planned in the farm shop but the freezer is a bit better stocked now.1 -
Glad you’ve survived the trip - the weather I. The Peaks can be a law unto themselves. We’ve been caught out once or twice on days out 😳January spends - £587.581

For your sink, try pouring bicarbonate of soda down the plughole - as much as it will take, and following it up with a cup of hot white vinegar. It'll bubble ferociously for a while, then subside and go quiet. Leave the mixture in the waste until it's pretty much cold, then pour a full kettle of boiling water after it and flush through with plenty of cold water. We used to have truly awful problems with our sink waste clogging and causing the washing machine to back up and malfunction - and that always sorted it out for at least a few months. Thankfully now all the plumbing has been sorted we no longer have the issue!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
