Thought of you on the weekend as I got 'pinged' from the Covid App :( so I'm taking daily lateral flows and hoping I don't test positive and have to isolate!  I'm so mad at myself as I've been so careful.  Looks like you had a great time in York, I always love a trip to York but the hotels are so expensive.

    LMD x
    Hope you stay negative.

We have both got rid of the Covid app now. But when my other half tested positive track and trace contacted him by telephone and he had to give them details of where he had been and who he had been with. I later got a text message and email to say I had been a close contact and should test daily.

While the campsite was expensive compared to some we have stayed on, it was only £55.16 for 2 nights which for the location we thought wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Definitely cheaper than York hotels that’s for certain!

I got rid of the app after getting a ping on it a while ago - on the day in question that the ping related to MrEH and I had been together all day - literally hadn't been anywhere different to one another. I'd checked in to the one indoor place we went into - a cafe - on the app, he gave his details for Track & Trace. I got the ping, he got no contact at all - kind of underlined the pointlessness of the app to me! It can only have been a false ping - there's no way I can have been in contact to anyone for long enough to have stood even a chance of getting infected! (And it was chewing through phone battery at an annoying rate half the time too!).

EH - that’s why I haven’t had the test app…..my phone battery would need charging every hour 😳 I think most people I know have taken the app off.

Not a no spends day today. We have filled the car with diesel this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun salmon with rice and vegetables.

    Today's jobs are:
    • load of washing (which should hopefully be dry when we get home)
    • walking the dog x 2
    • cleaning the bathrooms

Having had to do a full week of them in the run-up to seeing my parents at Christmas (because we wanted to be 100% certain we were OK to spend time with them, not because of any actual requirement to do so) I quite literally "feel your pain" - something I found helped a bit was trying to remember to swab clockwise one day, followed by anti-clock the next - it did seem to make it slightly more bearable when things reached the sore stage.

Not a no spends day again. The window cleaner is coming today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a simple spag bol with garlic bread.

Tonights job is making sure the kitchen has a good clean. We have a chap coming to service the boiler first thing tomorrow morning so that needs to be clean for when he arrives.

Definitely not a no spends day now.

The motorhome is booked in for it's annual hab check tomorrow. We have a chap coming to the house to do it. The company have just rung up to take payment this morning so that is £190 gone that I was planning on paying tomorrow.

Not that it makes much odds when it is paid but I would have preferred the money in my account for an extra day :)
