York is just amazing. We enjoyed out stay so much we have booked the site again for the same time next year.

It was nice to meet up with our friends this afternoon. Not seen them for a while so was nice to have a catch up. They are coming to stay with us for a couple of nights in a few weeks.

We had a nice walk which ended at a pub for a couple of shandies.

Just got home now and got the van back on the drive and the water system drained down. Will be glad when we don't have to do that again when the weather is a bit warmer.

It was very windy yesterday but other than that is has been lovely weather for January.

We were sat outside the pub in the sunshine this afternoon.

We are meeting up with family in the Peak District next weekend so hopefully the mild weather will continue.

The dog is shattered now. He has come home climbed in his kitchen bed and gone straight to sleep 🤣🤣🤣

He will be happy to go to work tomorrow for a rest I think.

£200 paid to Card 7 today.

It is a no spends day other than that. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is chicken enchilladas made with the left overs from yesterdays roast chicken.

    Tonights jobs are:
    • vacuuming the house
    • vacuuming the van
    • cleaning the inside of the van

Glad York was lovely - it's somewhere we've been a few times and really enjoyed, but yes, it can get a bit raucous in the evenings!

Yes not long now until the car loan is paid off. 18 more days  :)

Looking forward to a much quieter weekend this coming weekend in the Peak District. York was lovely but it was manic and we have come back absolutely shattered.

Not a no spends day today. We had to pick a few bits of veg up from the shop this morning.

Breakfast and lunch are from stores. It was toast for breakfast and we have both taken our packed lunches to work. Tonight we have some running around to do dropping off birthday presents so we are going to pick a KFC up on the way home.

No jobs to do at home tonight as it will be quite late when we get home.
  • Thought of you on the weekend as I got 'pinged' from the Covid App :( so I'm taking daily lateral flows and hoping I don't test positive and have to isolate!  I'm so mad at myself as I've been so careful.  Looks like you had a great time in York, I always love a trip to York but the hotels are so expensive.
