Another slow day but made a great deal of difference to my room. Some bedding rolled and folded, tied with string to make more space and 3rd best towels put in there (mum has ones she uses, reserves, 3rd reserves ans ones that are only fit for wiping wet dogs - but they are all kept in the room I'm in). Moved some sauces and pickles into the space I'd made on one of the wardrobe shelves and brought mum's file box into my room and filled the space in her room with boxes of cereal from my wardrobe. Later on I managed to go outside for a while and have set up a set of shelves under the window and filled several trays with compost, put propagator lids on and covered the whole thing with a plastic greenhouse cover (temporary seed house). Going to try to add a 'fun' job each day - planting out narcissus for spring etc, something to look forward to. Did a little sewing whilst watching tv.
I need to plan for a man and van to bring some shelves (one set of bookshelves and 2 small cube shelves - some of the boxes are already here) and work on a list of things I need/ would like here (more diy tools, winter boots, any extra clothing - will wear the dresses I have but the one I mended already has about a dozen tiny-small holes). Would like 3 of my cooking knives, a stockpot and more bits but it depends what I can explain clearly enough that DS3 can find them (couldn't find candles and other things that were precisely where i said they would be), whether I can go inside my house myself and how I get them back here - by the trolley load or have a taxi back. Staying where I am for the time being. I've had a shower, I have a yogurt beside me and a half pan of stew in the kitchen. I've also got a mini plan of the room working out how to accommodate extra shelves.
Today's priorities are Rest, do what I can when I feel able, do in here first. Grateful for the bed, the quilt, lovely food (am onto my second cabbage). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
Now on NSD No 15
Very happy to say that the new restrictions will not impact on Himself and I going on holiday. Although it does mean that our friends probably won't be able to join us unless something changes for the better which I very much doubt. So I'm feeling a lot more positive and can get on with planning. I have to admit to being incredibly stressed over the last few days.
Lots to do over the next few days now, Need to sort out budget which is a bit all over the place. Under control but definitely spent a bit more than we meant to.
Just really cannot wait to see somewhere other than these four walls.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -

Evening all, couple of NSD's wracked up here. Back working from home, need to do some home visits tomorrow and Thursday. We were meant to start going back to the office from next week but with today's announcement that's all been cancelled.
My back is REALLY playing up the last few days, spent most of the day in bed working lol. Grateful for a lovely hot bath and a massage I just gave myself which has helped ease things off a bit. Also grateful for our new sofa delivery date being confirmed for Saturday. Memory foam here I come!6 -
Not sure when I last updated, but:
Health
Exercise and food all going fine. Down another 1lb - 1 more to get to 2stone off this year
Wealth
Worked some hours at sch #1 last week and week before - so will get a small amount of pay this monthHave lots more hours booked in for Oct but not all will make Oct payday cut off. Sch #2 emailed today asking for availability but am not so fussed going there for the odd hour - it's min 30 mins drive (almost an hour at peak time) and a return journey of 30 miles, so really not worth it unless I can do ideally 3hrs minimum. Plus they have 5 confirmed cases of C0vid in students in the last week across 3 year groups!
Totally skint in both DH and my c/acs now until pay days. Will need some food shopping though - will tfr from slush fund account - I know Sep spending from c/acs has included some extras on back to uni stuff for DS1 and also some things which I bought from c/ac and would often have used cc. Also popped a bit more than normal into savings - so no surprise we've ran out of money, really!!
Life well-lived
Ordered some Xma5 washi tape today from Amaz000n to use with the huge roll of brown paper I have left over from soap making and online shop daysHave written a list on my phone of what cards and presents I have hiding under my bed so I can check it when out and about. Am also sat here with a local-ish (31 miles away) foody website open - need to order some things for us from there (as they won't be attending anywhere local here as the markets they go to have been cancelled) and may order some yummy things for people for presents too. I'd like to support small, independent and local-ish businesses for Xmas more this year - they're going to struggle even more going forward....
Sold some books via fb00k the other day (17 for £5 - bargain) - money went to the kids as they were their books, but that was a decent pile goneHave a couple of bags of things in the garage to drop at CS sometime, too. Also have 3 large bags of stuff to drop at DS2's school - but they're not accepting anything at the mo.
Gratitudes
Although we are skint we are not really - I've just made us feel like it this month due to the above reasons, my new door has been fitted to the washing machine (damaged by installers last December!!), whilst DS2 is off school as his year are self-isolating due to 2 c0vid cases the home learning is much better organised than they had back in the summer (lessons now being delivered following the timetable), for working some hours, for having 2 new garden gates fitted last weekend, for dry weather meaning my washing has been line dried for agesI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206 -
Am on 16 NSD's.
Not much happening. Still trying to do either some cross stitch, reading, going out for a walk each day. Got an online temp job interview tomorrow afternoon, job is working from home and I applied for another local temp job yesterday, different line of work that I am used to. Had put on hold buying next year's diary whilst out today until a couple month's time. Something else I tried to get today will not be available in one shop until January, but I am not going to get stressed about that. Am hoping not to spend any further money for the rest of the month.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20134 -
Today I am grateful for still having lots of rasps ripening, for dd managing a whole day at school, for some nice emails from parents, for dh talking to his 'boss' about how much work he was having to do on a Sat due to other people only sending the items at the last minute and a plan being sort of sorted out for it all, for mothernerd setting up October for us, for a morning snooze!

Good Evening all Turtles ! (why are you not watching B4ke 0ff?) Happy Autumnal Equinox!Today I have had a good day. Nobody has annoyed me. Went to pick up my 2 pairs of 2 glasses and my reading glasses were wrong - they did a + instead of a - on one lens, what can I say, I have wonky eyes and a properly odd prescription for a Turtle, let alone a human, but no glasses should make you feel violently sick when you put them on! Now I have to manage changing glasses when I need to do things close up - not as simple as it sounds! I will get used to it.Gratitudes: warmth, home, getting laundry line dried, supper of using up loads of bits from the fridge, and the kitchen being clean for possibly 25 minutes this afternoon (sadly no longer, but tomorrow is another day). For having a list and striking things off, and for candles.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
