Morning turtles!
Health
I had a beastly headache yesterday that I can still feel the remnants of this morning. Managed to go for a run outside this morning as staying in all day yesterday probably didn’t help!
Was ravenous yesterday and gave into snacking on some crackers but didn’t reach for the cheese so that’s good.
lunch was cauli soup again with some leftover rice and bf got a takeaway for dinner so I ate some of his chips (feel quite proud of myself for not ordering anything - but it wasn't my ideal takeaway so hey ho)
making an extra effort not to waste any food and so far this week have been successful.
Wealth/productivity
Yesterday was NSD 8.
Managed some reading yesterday, class planning and joined a webinar on commercial awareness. Also made some flashcards of legal terms I need to know for translations.
Life well lived
Texted my 16 y/o sister who’s just started living away from home at “horse college” to see how she’s getting on… it appears she’s having an absolute ball so I’m delighted for her.
Grateful for watching thunderstorms all cosy indoors, and for having good enough health to be able to exercise although I moan about it!

Wasn't well yesterday - only the sore throat and cough returning but with a killer headache as well. So of course mum decided it was an ideal day to wash the front room curtains and tried to send me up the ladder. Well I knocked off a large plant pot full of peppers whilst I was trying to work out the best way to tackle the job - luckily it missed my feet and landed the right way up but it shook me up and I vetoed further climbing. I mended my skirt (been there a while but couldn't find suitable thread until my reorganising the box of threads) and did some work on a large embroidery project (fairly complicated design but only a few colours and I worked on a part where the outline was done so it was more 'colouring in' and only had to refer to the pattern every now and then).
Did a food order to be delivered this evening. Asked mum for suggestions and now have a list which includes a clothes prop, a doormat, carpet slippers (with a proper tread) and numerous other items, none of them available at the SM (not via home delivery anyway).
Still not 100 percent but working steadily and making sure to take regular breaks and sit down and have a drink. Have moved the dining table and built a 'stack' out of toilet roll packs to hold some of the pepper and chilli plants. All the plants have been watered and moved around. Taken everything out of one of the kitchen cupboards and filled it, logically and with more things from my room in there. All listed and the list will go on the inside of the door and items will be crossed off as used.
I made lunch. Mum decided what we would have and was going to cook it except I was put in charge of sausages and gammon slices as she would have burnt them to a frazzle. I ended up doing the lunch as mum was pottering in the bathroom and it was 7 hours since I'd had a not very substantial breakfast.
Am currently on the bed (everything aches but not sure if it's from heavy lifting or 'flu type aching'). Hoping to recover to do at least one more cupboard (storage jars already washed, dried and waiting) but very happy with what I have done (toilet roll 'unit' includes 2 boxes with washing capsules and jumbo kitchen rolls accommodated (were in the top of the wardrobes). Feeling lighter as I no longer have packs of toilet rolls looming at me from the top of the wardrobes.
I am grateful for pleasant weather (just a hint of autumn), for making more space and getting things done slowly. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Evening all, got another NSD today so up to 10 I think. A bit of a poor show by my normal standards but now that I've spent too much there's nothing left to spend so the NSD's should start accumulating.
Spent the day doing jobs around the house, painted the bedroom wardrobe doors (had already done the insides but put off doing the rest), had a decent workout and a walk, and also read a lot of my book. OH wants takeaway but I won't be partaking, plenty of food in the fridge that needs eating.
Got my expenses payment through so I paid the £50 off my car debt. I think next month I need to make a concerted effort to reset my finances and get back onto a better footing.

Aw. Mothernerd, what can I say. You put me to shame. I have neither your patience or your resilience.
Not a NSD today as the food delivery arrived which consisted mainly of fruit for me and chocolate for Himself!
Still feeling really quite stressed. A friend who lives in NE has calmed me down a bit but friends in Yorkshire are in even more restrictions although no more than I'm in here. Himself not helping by insisting that we will go on holiday no matter what. Don't think he quite gets the fact that restrictions on hospitality could mean we don't have any accommodation. Unlikely but still a possibility. Actually I think his hearing is deteriorating badly (I mean that as a serious comment) and he's only picking up bits of news reports so he's getting the wrong end of the stick. Strange and difficult times and definitely not helped by me having to continually explain things to him.
So dinner is in the oven and then I'm going to have an early night. Hardly slept at all last nigh.
Hope the weekend will be better.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
Things are quite stressful over here too, dh is being a twit. He got his diagnosis about his shoulder and is taking out his disappointment on everyone else. I get that he is not happy, but it is not our fault! The county will now have to live with the same restrictions as we (in the city) have been living with. The kids are horrified by the idea of a half term hard lockdown - I don't see it will make much difference, they never leave their rooms anyway! But the idea they would HAVE to stay home bothers them. So, dropped 3 to school this morning and then took #4 with me to the tip, and we recycled a lot of metal and clothes rags, and he spent a jolly 5 minutes lobbing stuff into skips. Simple pleasures. The house is better for it. Also sent Mr Hamster's house away to its new home (I could not bear the thought of it being unused in the shed) for another Hamster in a cage that is too small for it. I am moving things out to their new homes, or to be recycled. However I am still driving around with 3 bags of books in my car boot, until I find a c/s that is taking them (the book collection bin was full at the tip). All still within budget though, everyone is alive and happy(ish) there is food in the pantry and water in the tap (no Tigers here!).4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for the smell of cut grass after I'd mowed it, for dd having a super day at school, for getting out for an anniversary coffee with dh (only 3 days late, so pretty good for us!), for the robin being back in the garden, for finding a gf df advent calendar for dd (yes, it's extremely early, but decent tasting ones are few and far between).

Health
I managed to go for a run last night for the first time in 6 days - 6 days of sitting in front of a screen, so well over due. I have been eating fairly healthily, no gorging, but still suspiciously close to the fridge, so weight loss is halting.
Wealth
Well this one is struggling its an expensive month, low income months ahead and had to say no to work yesterday to finish writing an assign ment brief for students that I had to hand in for checking. But moving forwards it should be a reasonable and interesting year.
Productivity
I am mainly interested in keeping up with my teaching work and then focussing on my own creative work. I genuinely feel that the treads on here is slowly healing my productivity and it is literally through writing that I am solving all of my problems. Writing and sharing. Reading and sharing. I have been doing my journal project for 8 weeks now filled a notebook and a half and it just keeps growing, I will probably never read it again, but it just keeps me focussed. Two days this week I missed as have been insanely busy and I could feel it right away, like not having my coffee - it frazzeled me all day.
Life well lived
Am trying to be kind, to listen, to be present!

I've just looked and it is a vego one f0xh0les! No gluten, dairy, eggs, nut. Not even a sniff of them. And dd's had some of their 'choc' before and enjoyed it, so it must be decent... And the aldee 85% stuff I scoff is only a 'may contain' for milk - but I don't have to avoid milk - but only says 'suitable for vegetarians' on it. Do you make your own?
