@PipneyJane well done on your amazing surplus! I've updated your budget
@sarahj1986 welcome back!
@zafiro1984 no problem - I tend to leave names on for a few months or if they are regulars, even if they don't declare for a bit - it just makes it a bit quicker and easier for me doing the budgets!
@taka welcome back!
@VickyV welcome!
@Pixiehouse55 - £300
€44.14 spent today
I’ve bought some meat, salad stuff, veg, fruit, eggs, frozen bits, crate of beer for my husband, pasta, bin bags, milk, big block of spanish cheese and cheddar cheese. This should do us a week although I need to go back in tomorrow to get water and some fizzy pop. I couldn’t carry it all in one go.€305.86 left
picked up water and mozzy plug in as I’m being eaten alive. I do get bitten anyway but even more so now there’s no tourists round.€297.86 left:money::rotfl::T5 -
£16.73 In Aldi, taking yet another shopping, I am going to have to start sitting outside these shops, it`s costing me a fortune, although in reality I did score y.s. beef and pork mince, 2 y.s. lamb mince, 2 y.s. boxes of mushrooms, got the dog extra dental stix, couple of other odds and sods too.
Popped back to mention, I am committed to a Sains visit tomorrow.Do I need it or just want it.6 -

Nice to see you back @nannygladys @MrsSnowy @peony40 @Hettyhound
Welcome to the thread @helensbiggestfan @mooomin
Need to increase my budget as I've finally had a massive sort out of my "stores" and determined the products I like to keep 1 or 2 spares of (a perpetual pantry as FlyLady puts it!) but ended up buying a few things like Tofoo Smoked which is on offer at the mo in Sainsbobs and is my absolute favourite and expiry isn't until end of the month so I stocked up!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old Style, Crafting and Techie Stuff boards.If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. The best mozzy repellent I've ever encountered is Avon's Skin-so-Soft dry oil spray, in the "original" scent. (Used to come with a green spray-pump.) The ecologists I worked with call it "Skin So Stinky" - nothing is a better mozzy or midge repellent, according to them.

64p overspend for this week as when walking the dogs picked up 12 organic eggs for 64p instead of £4.30 🙃 with 8 days left to go on box date (!) will just change up the meal plan. Will aim to deduct it off next week.

Evening All
I have two shops to declare from earlier this week. (August’s surplus didn’t last long @elsiepac.) The first was £20.26 in L!dl (after the previously mentioned £5 voucher was deducted); the second was the long-awaited shop in MrT’s where we spent £39.95. We stocked up on a few things and even managed to score a couple of bargains in MrT’s: 250g jars of green pesto for 45p each (we bought 4) and a Turkish brand of fusilli pasta for 37p each (we bought 5).
Once I deduct a couple of 5p coins and a £2 coin for the Running Away Fund, our Grocery Challenge spend stands at £62.26/£165.40, leaving £103.14 for the remainder of the month.

Evening all,
I’m really annoyed with myself today. We’re self isolating so I’m having to home school again. Ds1 has just started the first year of secondary so I spent far too long trying to explain how to factorise quadratic equations (I may have ruined his teacher’s life)! Anyway, the upshot was that I promised him Takeaway pizza if he finished the worksheet. He did, so £30 later I have slight nausea and enough leftover pizza to feed a small army! Pizza should do 3 more meals at least. I’d normally take treat meals from a different budget but it feels like false accounting so £30/£200 it is!

Here in Suffolk it is Flower bugs that are nipping mostly, and very similar to flea bits in that they itch for over a week (whereas mozzie bites are a day or 4). I suppose it is because there were so many aphids and the ants have been farming them for the honeydew so the flower bugs are everywhere.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

This is by no means money saving but after the past few weeks, I really couldn’t care less.
£4.50 spent on the light B&Js. If you have tried it, you know. If you haven’t, you need to. Low calorie and my absolute favourite ice cream ever.
£4.50 well spent! 🤭🤭Officially a homeowner 🥳🥳
