Not much to report on savings accounts. They are all pretty much going to plan. After a long search, I have a plumber coming to the house at the weekend. I have a leak in my toilet cistern and it is wasting water. So many plumbers were not interested in doing the job. They are literally like gold dust!!The only really good news this week is that I have passed my final assignment with a distinction and will receive a First Class Honours Degree from the Open University. My graduation ceremony looks like it will be in November a week before my birthday so exciting times ahead.4

Well the plumber came and went which turned out to be a bit eventful. I had two leaks, the main one being at the bottom of the flush valve. Unfortunately, as it hadn't been noticeable for some time, it had also rotted the seal at the bottom of the cistern and corroded the metal plate underneath. Water had then been dripping onto the floor which wasn't noticeable as the toilet is virtually built in. So what we thought was a 5 minute job turned into 3.5 hours, nearly all the internal components of the toilet being replaced and lots of sweating and swearing from the plumber. The nice surprise though was the bill. He only charged me £149 in total so I think I got off pretty lightly.

At least it's fixed and for a good price, shouldn't have to worry about that again for quite a while.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

I now only have 3 full pay days and one partial payday before I finish. The mixed feeling of apprehension and excitement is really starting to kick in. I've worked in the school holidays since I was 14 and full time since I was 16. I've never taken more than a week off at any time holiday. It's going to be a big change. Latest update is I will have £1297 a month from 62 and £1397 a month at 65. I'm slightly apprehensive about gas and electricity bills in the future, but to be fair everyone is in the same boat. I can't influence it much myself so I'm not working myself up too much about it.

Will the part pay have any holiday pay in it or do you have to use the holiday before you finish up?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Sadly, I will have used all my holidays and maybe owe them a day or two. We only get 20 days a year. I took a few days for OU study and some when the cat was ill.2
