He's a keeper understanding how much your brush means to you.

Once you've got this year out the way, next year and beyond will open up opportunities and you'll find loads of things to do.

We have had small pay rise (3%) in work.  It's better than nothing.  3 weeks tomorrow,  I hand in my notice so I will just save as much of the pay rise as possible.  Next thing looming on the horizon is my car's MOT and service on Monday.  Service and MOT are paid for on a plan, so it just be any essential repairs to pay for.  Cat vaccinations were £48, but have already been budgeted for.  Boyfriend birthday last week...again already budgeted for....and I got an easy ride as he only wanted the money towards a new Apple watch.

    Savings so far...
    Teeth & Glasses £100
Cat £148 less £48 for vaccinations
    House Maintenance £1200
    Clothes £800
    Long term, redundancy, emergency £8100
    Beauty £700
    Holiday £3700
    Entertaining £700

After I finish, I now will have £1309 a month from 62 to 65 and £1401 from 65 to state pension age. I have to say I am looking forward to not saving as crazily as this and starting to do things.  I've virtually been a hermit since January and it is starting to bug me.

No turning back now. Handed in my notice today.  Last day of working 11th November.  End of month will be my last full salary.  I'll then the worse case scenario for next 4 years 10 months ie if I can't get any employment at all. I'll post my thoughts after then.  After that there will be a lot more emphasis in keeping control of my day to day bills with hopefully spending more on entertainment, leisure and holidays.  Thanks everyone in advance for all your encouragement.
