£395 still sounds like a lot for glasses...
I hope you find a part-time job. I'm also looking...

I was going to comment on the glasses price!

What kind of PT work you looking for as we may be able to make suggestions about the type of places to look at.

Unfortunately, I have a complex prescription. I think there’s only one online who could do it and it would still be very expensive. I transferred over to the largest UK chain from the Express one 4 years ago when their prices started to climb past £600. That’s why £395 sounds reasonable.

That explains it, however still call around as a lot can change in a few years and others may have improved their offerings.

Nice week just gone. Went to Chester Zoo with boyfriend, then we had dinner out and stayed overnight in a hotel. Bf paid for zoo tickets, dinner and hotel. I paid for lunch in zoo. Came to £19 which is in the entertaining budget. Needed a repeat prescription for the cat, but because it’s been a while, they insisted on seeing him. Consultation and tablets came to a staggering £59 which I already have in the cat vet budget.

Next week will again be a bit spendy. On Monday, getting a quote from aerial company to do something with my TV aerial. It overhangs my drive and with being home more, I need to do something about the birds perching on the aerial and messing on the car.
Then later in week, I need to book my IPhone in to have a new battery installed. Think the cost of this is around £60.

You might want to consider ditching the aerial and saving the money. If your BB is  more than about 3mb you can stream just about all your need using a fire stick or other dongle. I've been doing this for over a year without a problem...... Plus no bird mess!

Turned out to be a not spendy week at all. Didn’t get anything done to aerial. Then boyfriend treated me to dinner, new IPhone battery and breakfast. I am very lucky. Today, I bought birthday pressie and card for friend. Budgeted £27 and it came to £26. Not much else planned for the weekend. Next week, I need to get a few gardening bits and pieces and it’s my turn to treat boyfriend to dinner.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

So treated boyfriend to dinner at home. I used a pasta kit from a fresh pasta company. They delivered on they day and it was absolutely amazing. It wasn’t cheap…. with all the other bits and pieces, the total came to £34 for the two of us. A significant saving on eating out though so was well pleased.

The garden bits and pieces came to £80. I bought a bug hotel, large weed and feed, heavy duty brush and dustpan, patio weed killer and a lawn aerator. All budgeted for.
