Sorry I think you have misinterpreted what I have said, what I mean is that depending on whether or not the land owner agrees to cancel the PCN I will/will not send the appeal from the newbies thread to the parking company.DoaM said:
No! You will send the appeal exactly as it is written in the NEWBIES thread. It is written that way for a reason ... people who start to play about with it tend to make the appeal pointless, as they don't realise that they're identifying the driver - they think they're being clever but in most cases they're not. 🙄freeparking22 said:
Yes I will not miss this, I do not plan to wait until day 25 but just until I have had a reply from the land owner and then I will send my appeal based on their reply.Umkomaas said:Do not miss the appeal deadline, or you can kiss goodbye to getting this easily killed off at POPLA. Then you're looking at 6 years of hassle and the uncertainty as to whether the PPC will sue you through the small claims court - at any time up to 2026!

"As a genuine customer of the stores on your site I ask if it would be possible to contact the parking enforcement company and ask them to cancel the PCN that has been issued as a gesture of goodwill."Pedantic mode - reads as though the PCN was issued as a gesture of goodwill.Maybe - "As a genuine customer of the stores on your site I ask if it would be possible, as a gesture of goodwill, for you to contact the parking enforcement company and ask them to cancel the PCN that has been issued .4

Thanks. Don't rely on the landowner following through - or even the PPC taking any notice. (There was a thread here recently where someone got a default CCJ because they ignored court papers as they were told that the landowner would get the PCN cancelled). Still send the appeal though (add a point that the landowner has agreed to get the PCN cancelled) so that you get either confirmation from the PPC or a rejection and a POPLA code.freeparking22 said:

Yep - the Robert Goodwill letter spells that out clearly.Redx said:If it's council land then I thought that it's not relevant land and cannot be contracted out to private parking companies ??Somewhat messy link, but Google might find a better copy! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
