If you read headforpoints there are a lot of superficial rich people who do care about what other people (including minimum wage shop cashiers) think about their card's appearance!
Think the "rich" there was superfluous

If you look on eBay you'll find companies even sell replica American Express Centurion cards - non-functioning, just something to have in your wallet to make it look like you have a AmEx Black. Unfortunately they're not all good with keeping up with the design changes though

They could have made this black and white card a touch more colourful. I remember the days when people 'felt important' with an MBNA platinum plus card or something similar - which mostly meant they were up to their eyes in debt - but had a flashy silver/gold card to wave at the Tesco cashier to make it look like they had money. I worked at the coal-face of retail for a few years, and as a manager it was interesting to note the type of credit card seemed to relate to the type of customer.  Those with bog-standard credit cards were generally lovely people, and those with the platinum plus plus plus extra cards were the ones that expected most for least, but to me a card was a card - if the money went through the PDQ - then I'd be happy no matter what card it came from. These days I like the fact when choosing your financial products there's at least a little more variety in terms of card-look options.

  • Hi, just noticed this. I quite the new Zero design. Have Santander redesigned the All In One card too?

No they haven't. At least not if you go by the pictures on their website:

Weird - there's now no trace of Zero on the Santander website. Anyone seen a discontinuance news article or anything...?
