Natwest made a thing a few years ago about their cards which had tactile features on it but they were for orienting the card and knowing if the card is your credit or debit card.  Can't remember seeing anything else and certainly printing on the reverse rather than embossing on the front will be a step back for many.

My new Natwest debit card has a notch carved in to its right-hand-side and six raised bumps on it. It looks similar to a braille character, however it doesn't appear to be one.

I'm surprised other banks don't do this.  I guess it add extra cost to producing the card.

    It's similar to this one:

My card isn't embossed and isn't contactless.  It was an old basic account that was upgraded to a full account several years ago.

I have another 'full' Natwest account that does have a contactless card.
My Nationwide Member credit card is also like this, though its embossed.

How well does ApplePay work for payments over the phone?

Ordered an additional card for the wife and this turned up.... mine is the old style with huge Santander across the top.

I know it's only a card but people like to discuss the look - thoughts on this then..?

I'm going to be honest, the dots on that card make me feel a bit queasy inside - its bad enough that I'd probably close my account if a bank sent me something like this. (Thankfully I don't bank with Santander)

NatWest isn't a bank that one associates with being customer friendly, but they do seem to have got their act together in some areas such as accessible cards.
Also like that they don't force you to accept contactless cards and that they provide card readers rather than insisting on notoriously insecure SMS two-factor verification.

SMS is only insecure if you also lose your phone that isn’t PIN protected (or PIN protect the SIM as well).

I'm probably in the minority here but I love the new design of the Zero card, IMHO its the best looking card around closely followed by my Nationwide card. I think the red colouring on the edges of the Zero card is a nice touch, very similar to my Barclaycard Rewards card (that has blue on the edges rather than red).

I think it'd be so much nicer if they just toned down the dots or went with a slightly less busy pattern.

The notch thing is becoming more common.

As already mentioned, Nationwide does it; and my new Virgin Money debt card has one too.
