Thinking of buying an item off ebay which may weigh more than 30kg can anyone recommed a courier I could use that would do this and could the courier box the item up for me as well?
Thanks0 -

See the Home-Textiles Warning: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=714369
Charging less for DHL@Home 24 than its costs & No insurance for damaged parcels, will only cause problems for those whom choose to use him.0 -
thought i would post this here.
just look at this and see how hard it is for some of these guys doing delivery/collections.
owner/drivers are how these courior companys cut costs and offer low prices.
i dont know who pays for the required PF livery
6 day week
no holiday pay
no sick pay
you are expected to organise sick/holiday cover for your duty
bear in mind the earnings are minus tax,NI,van/fuel costs etc
plus 'in the region'
rumour is RM want to go the same route if they can
well i can answer my own point on the livery.
saw a white transit with a very small vinyl sign at the bottom of the drivers door.
stating working for royal mail/parcel force(??) in plain red letters with no rm/PF logos.
on the rear was a decal for an ebay sign company in the same red writing
also i noted the guy didnt even have a PF hi viz vest on0 -

No collection was made, but gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited in again today, having been informed, by email, a collection would be made. Yet another no show, has anyone else had problems with them recently?? I used to use Payperdrop and never had a problem, this is my first time with CouriersDirect and will not be using them again.
Used a few of them before. Some will have their strengths and weaknesses but I did find CouriersDirect slow with communication via email.Over 40 hours slow to be precise. It seemed they rely on auto response so the customer decides.Fact is maybe the customer doesn't want to wait in all day again and chooses not to rebook.Clever that!
Funny thing is they appear to be rushed off their feet.Everything is great when things work but I am puzzled why a company with around 99.7% good feedback find it hard to deal with the 2.3% of problems.Or aren't the customers being so honest about leaving a negative?
Classified ads put a stop to leaving any feedback.What a shame0 -
My local parcelforce is incredibly bad, turned up 2 days late to pick up a package.0
