I haven't received my internet banking activation code/debit card/pin code yet, I was planning to start setting up standing orders to fund the account to avoid the fee starting from September, once I got full access to the account. Thanks, I would be grateful if anyone had the answer.
No you won't be charged it. They only start charging it after your account has been open for a full calendar month. It's on their document "Bank account Guide"

Morning
I want to try and take advantage of this offer - but I’m not sure the application is working right. I have a Halifax CC so have existing online banking, i go to apply for a new account, select reward account and follow through but there is no mention of asking for switch details before clicking complete, which I would expect during the application - so I cancelled it. Should it ask about switching details of your old account during the application or do you fill in a form after to switch and get the £100?
also just to point out the end date has changed to the 8th September now
thanks for any help1 -

Can the £1500 you have to pay in be a transfer from another Halifax account?0

Looks like the earliest available switching date is the 15th sept, not sure if requesting the switch now counts as ‘starting’ before the 8th to get the £100 but we’ll see0
