So then the statement:"You won't qualify for the Switching offer if you:- are switching to a Basic Account, a Student Account or a Youth Account.
- are a Bank of Scotland bank account customer switching to Halifax."
relates to the switching service only, and rather than not qualifying for the £100 offer, it's that a BOS bank account cannot be switched at all using the switching service according to that term? The box containing those terms ends with "For more information about our switching offer, please read our Terms and conditions", with the Terms and conditions link going to the T&Cs of the £100 offer. So it's very inconsistent use of the term "Switching offer".Even more confusing given I've received a SMS message yesterday for my switch from BOS stating "We confirm your switch will complete on 13/08/2020..."
No £100 switch has been paid yet, so I very much doubt that any of us chopping in our BOS accounts will receive the switching bonus.
I have 2 switches from BOS to Halifax ongoing:Switch 1, started 1st August (before I knew about this offer), confirmed 3rd August: Standing orders and Direct Debits now visible on my Halifax account, BOS account still active, due to complete 11th AugustSwitch 2, started and confirmed 5th August (switching to a newly opened Reward account and hoping to receive the incentive for this one): No sign of Direct Debits yet, BOS account still active, due to complete 13th August. It seems your account was converted, not switched. Was your BOS account accessible via the same logon details used to access your Halifax account or different?Edit: based on your second post it looks like your switch is still in progress, but both accounts are associated with the same logon details, whereas mine remain separate.0 -

I received my activation code this morning and logged in. To my surprise, the switch from my BOS account had already taken place. Also, my BOS account number & sort code have been transferred over to the Halifax account. Even the BOS name & logo also appear on the new Halifax account details.

A CASS switch does not create any new account. It switches an account into an existing account, and it closes the account you have requested to be switched.

got it after applying and making switch, alongwith that also got to create my online banking user name. But once your account is fully set up and you are able to login to your account (online or app), you can set up the reward if not done already, very easy to do

But if you have actually missed that, then choose when you have access to account.
We chose the £5 per month option to make up for the no interest.
