I booked a holiday to Mallorca 3 weeks ago when the travel advice was fine and now it has changed to I must isolate for 14 days but has not advised against travelling to the balearic islands, does anyone know if there is any chance i will get some of my money back through insurance or being booked on a credit card etc. ?

Where do we stand if we have checked in online for our flights for next month (easyJet) but we can’t isolate as we now have to, can we get a flight refund does anyone know ?
No, you either go and quarantine or forfeit the cost of the flights.
    It’s not Jet2’s problem
Indeed it isnt, given they are going with Easyjet ;)

Budget airline EasyJet said it was "disappointed" and would operate a full schedule in the coming days.

"Customers who no longer wish to travel can transfer their flights without a change fee or receive a voucher for the value of the booking," the company said in a statement.

Have you booked a package or separate elements and more importantly who with because that on its own can cause issues

What a shambles this government are!

Dammed if you don't dammed if you do. People simply need to learn to accept responsibility for their own decisions. Always a risk. The first wave hasn't actually finished.............
I think he was on about the fact the FCO havent advised against travel to the Canaries and Balerics yet they still expect people to quarantine coming back from there. A shambles of a decision which has major insurance implications.

It is very unlikely that you be able to claim for anything related to COVID19 disruption on your insurance.
Some policies will cover you if you, or your party fall ill with COVID19, but I have seen none that will cover you for quarantine, changes in FCO advice, cancelled flights, or any other disruption stemming from COVID19.
The insurance companies have realised that the situation can change completely from one day to the next, even if many of the traveling public haven't.

Separate elements with the hotel and easy jet so i know its probably not looking good, just wondering if there is any sort of compensation i can get.

EasyJet will let you change your booking.
You may want to find out if there is any chance of moving your hotel booking also.
Who did you book the hotel with?

Perhaps the FCO don't work on Saturday evenings.  ;)
