Bradders you read my mind was going to post this... call centres are going to be even harder to get in contact with now.
Within seconds of me getting the BBC notification people had tweeted TUI and Jet2, asking if their holidays were cancelled.  Government hasnt even officially announced it yet for crying out loud.

What will travel insurance position be if you booked a trip 3 weeks ago when the advice for Spain was that it was ok to go?
No one has said you can’t go so you can still travel if your flight is going.
That may change But right now I believe you can go.

Where do we stand if we have checked in online for our flights for next month (easyJet) but we can’t isolate as we now have to, can we get a flight refund does anyone know ?
Probably not (unless you booked and had insurance before March).
    whats stopping you isolating?

It would make sense. Why would we want people travelling there? However I don’t believe travel ins will cover loss of income for people already out there and not covered by sick pay.

Think of the poor folk due to fly tomorrow/Monday before any update comes through, theoretically still good to go yet stuck with the risk of flying out (when none of travel company offices are open) and facing a 2 week quarantine on return that will only be announced when they are away.

Quarantine isn’t a Massive issue for anyone retired, unemployed, furloughed, can work from home or get sick pay is if? If I was retired I wouldn’t worry.

It’s unlikely someone will knock on the door, but if you’ve specifically been told
to isolate then it’s selfish not to isn’t it?

An employer might question it if they knew where he was going.
